Shut down from the main event, I decided I had nothin better to do than take a walk around the dealer tables, and then head around the tables to get a feel of what decks were being played in large numbers.
Here is a breakdown of what I saw.

U/B/r Control (Not Flores Control, although Flores was playing this deck today)
Those 6 decks seemed to be all over the tables, up until the minute I left. Of course spattered around the tables were you random Rogue decks and other decks like:

Flores Teachings
MGA
ScrybForce
Pickles
After taking a walk around the tables and getting a feel for the Meta, I headed to the pairings list to see if there were any good games to watch.
I found Brian David-Marshall piloting a Billy Moreno designed, 5 color Perilous Storm deck, with Tarmogoyf and Pacifism MD. His opponent was playing a very strange G/W build with Greater Good. BDM took game 1 quickly, but game 2 was a different story. After a Hierarch hit the board for his opponent, BDM stormed an Ignite Memories for 3, his opponent with 2 cards in hand one with CMC
and one with CMC :3mana:. BDM knew he didnt have enough and scooped. I wandered to the bathroom a few feet away for the start of game 3, But the match resulted in a draw. Something which he didnt seem happy about. Round 1 over, and me pleasantly surprised by the apparent absence of Dredge, I waited for the pairings to go up and the players to sit down. I then scoped out the list and found Mike Flores in a nice open end table, and of course he was surrounded by people watching his game...so I joined.:) As many had said, Flores was not playing the Control deck which bears his name, but rather was sporting a B/U/r Korlash Control deck (Rise // Fall, Tendrils, Mishra, Signets, Detritivore, Arrows) He was having some trouble with his opponent who was piloting a strange G/W/U deck. Think of a mix between U/G ScrybForce and Blink...with Shapeshifter thrown in for good measure:rolleyes: I was a bit surprised Flores was having such trouble, however in game 3 after having 3 Detritivore resolve and hit the board as 6/6's and his opponent misplaying and killing his Teferi(the only thing on his board) Flores took the match.
Well with that all being said, Regionals certainly was a very strange event this year. BDM was running around by the bathrooms with Flores and the other Pros and a tape recorder, so Im assuming there may be a podcast from him in the works.... I didnt stay long enough to catch the T8 decklist, but just before end of Round 5 Flores was sitting at 9 points(soon to be 12), and BDM was sitting at 10 thanks to his draw, however I missed his 5th match completely.
I was also able to sell a whole heap of crap to the dealers early in the morning and got myself a Volcanic Island. Gotta love dealers who will trade down.
Well hope you all had some fun at Regionals. I know I dont have exact decklists, but now you wont be completely surprised at the strange 5-color deck that BDM was piloting (It was REALLY strange, it went from early game Tarmogoyf, to late game Storm Elemental or Ignite Memories w/ Hatching Plans, Perilous Research goodness)
