I dunno, 5/4 for 3 is pretty good and could help in the more aggressive builds. One of the major weaknesses of vehicles is that they can be left "stranded" if there are no creatures, but since Norin is so dodgy, it works really really well. When I was playing Return to the Ranks I was surprised at how often Norin's extra Convoke value mattered. I wouldn't be surprised to see a deck play 8x vehicles.
If you're running the black version, try a 1of Zealous Persecution. It's great at breaking up token boardstalls, and also against infect. However, I found the black version did better without norin, maybe thats wrong though.
I added one X card draw spell but I always had something else to do with my mana. I also took out 1 leyline and 1 rest in peace and immediately ran into titi storm and necro ooze combo. That could just be bad luck. Tron is still bad for me, so I added a spell pierce to counter some early spell. I was never able to get triple blue for cryptic so I took it out.
Has anyone tried out the new Thalia in this deck? I'm considering giving her a shot as a two-of, she's human, slows the opponent down and helps out my sideboard plan (kind of a prison strat)
Hi guys! Has some of you tried to play Blood Moon main deck? I think we are perfectly able to handle it and it can help us to win a lot of game1s where our opponent does not expect it!
I like both of these ideas. I have always felt like Norin wants to play a controlling game since his effect is slow, but (almost) inevitable. Since both of these cards are controlling, it seems pretty great! It might be that new Thalia is too slow, however, but you are welcome to try.
Most decks don't want it, but I could see a gw soul sisters build that plays rite. Something like 12 sisters 3 rite 4 thunes. Supplant with mana dorks and pridem8s as necessary. Likely still tier fun though since its so fragile.
Hello goblins friends, I am having trouble with removals in my metagame , anger , Pyroclasm , conflagate are not letting me play, looking for a solution , I found the letter Thorn of Amethyst , would like an opinion from you about it . Thank you
Jund is pretty bad. I like to run 4 Pithing Needle in the side for Tron and Jund, although it doesn't always help. There was a build that ran 4 Worship which would def. be better against jund imo
That one card that prevents noncombat damage is good too, Mark of Asylum. Helps establish a board presence so we can't get bolted/lavamancered/clasmed out of the game.
I'm pretty high on Ephara, God of the Polis as well, and Wall of Omens. I try to build more controlling builds of the deck because that's where Norin shines. The constant advantage Norin provides is what makes him so good, not the fast aggression.
I'm experimenting with 3-4 color versions of this deck, since you can make the splash with the life being gained. I don't know why people only play 2 colors.
Trinisphere is pretty great ime. There are some decks that just cannot beat it if you resolve a quick one.
There is a huge choice for finishers, but I like Goblin Dark Dwellers, Stormbreath Dragon, and Raging Ravine. Stormbreath gets the edge because even if they topdeck a land they can't path it, and most other kills can't be cast for 1 mana.
I've been playing in the Tournament Practice room, so my experience is limited. From my observations:
Nahiri is good enough on her own with out Emrakul. Emrakul obviously helps, but I don't want to waste a slot for her. Usually I fetch up Mangara. Confirm Suspicions isn't bad, but it's not great. It's possible that I should be playing more blue sources + Cryptic, or Render Silent or Dissolve.
This deck is insane and it's possible the sideboard is off by a little. I threw in [[Leyline of Vitality]] on a lark but it ends up being really good. Is it worth it? Probably not. I'd rather have Auriok Champion but I'm not spending like $40 on a better soul sister
I want to make a green red norin deck with cryptolith rite and helix pinnacle.

Mark of Asylum. You will have to splash white for it.

This is the version I'm currently on. Although, come to think of it, Restoration Angel would probably be better than Eldrazi Displacer. I should probably add 1-2 izzet staticaster also.
