Feb 6, 2014Pylgrim posted a message on Launch Giveaway! My favorite card hast to be Venser, the Sojourner. I love flickering effects and Venser was a repeatable, free one. It made unassuming cards like Kor Hookmaster and Glimmerpoint Stag into hard locks, resetted PWs, recovered "mind-controlled creatures and abused things like Titans and Spine. I had more fun than its healthy with that card.Posted in: Announcements

I'd argue this is good. The more characters in the Gatewatch, the less they'll cycle the same characters as protagonists in future stories.
And? You'll certainly get the cards you're talking about. Why resent a card for the people who like Planeswalkers and the good guys?
Dude, you are talking about, what? Alpha? Most expansions since then had a twist. I mean, Phyrexians are almost as old as the game. Magic has only been pure sword & sorcery in your mind only. We still get the scary stuff in black, knights in white, etc, etc.
Also, before Ravnica did you know that you wanted a two-colour factions, pseudo-Slavic city plane? Because that's super narrow, and yet it seems it's one of your favourite planes. How about you give a chance to those sets when they come instead dismissing them before seeing a single card?
Yeah, that part is logical. What I'm saying is that it doesn't work when you deconstruct that logic to try to imagine exceptions or loopholes that allow a phyraxianised planeswalker. Regardless of logic or imaginable niche cases, that's something that cannot happen from a continuous storytelling perspective.
The moment a phyrexian planeswalks the whole multiverse is toast as s/he could quickly jump from plane to plane leaving some oil in each.
"Half"? It was literally one sentence wondering if the phyrexian /influence/ had let any physical marks. Now I know better, but that doesn't invalidate the whole argument.
