Card is sweet obviously. I kinda just wish that it was just a stright up tree folk/elemental without needing to also be a human or near-human like 99% of other walkers.
In fact, this probably would have been even more creative if it was a treefolk + other non-humanlike race .
Hexmage can't target cards that aren't on the battlefield. No card does that unless it specifically mentions a location other than the battlefield.
Weird mineral choice for this one, too. All of the other moxes are generally well known minerals but I had to google to see if this was a real thing or another case of "unobtainium".
Perfect body and cmc
Flexible abilities that don't have to target the creature that entered the battlefield
Baked in removal and therefore card advantage
Jesper Ejsing art
Ayula's probably the bear-ish card depicted on the booster artwork.
A friend of mine has a bear tribal deck currently lead by Yeva (Goreclaw doesn't care about most bears) so I do hope he gets a proper commander now!
I think this is the right answer. This'll be a treat if true because the booster makes it look like she has Jesper Ejsing art.
Ya, but creatures are good. Sorceries are generally very questionable and frequently lumped in with instants.
Also the majority of "spellslinger" cards deal with both instants and sorceries because they're both "spells", just at different speeds. It's so weird for a card like this to only mention sorceries.
Urza, Lord Hugh Artificer2UU
Legendary Creature - Human Artificer
When Urza, Lord High Artificer enters the battlefield, create a 0/0 colorless Construct creature token with "This creature gets +1/+1 for each artifact you control."
Tap an untapped artifact you control: Add U. 5: Shuffle your library, then exile the top card. Until end of turn, you may play that card without paying its mana cost.

Yeah I honestly don't feel that 2 decks would be a good fit for the yearly Commander product set. That would be fine if they wanted to do some sort of additional "Commander Duel Decks"-like products for special themes like The Coalition vs. Phyrexia, Zendikar vs The Eldrazi, Urza vs Mishra, etc. But 2 decks for the main product just sounds sort of anemic.
Anyone who thinks Heartwarming Reunion is anything like what Theros's underworld looks like, they really need to look back at that plane and see the huge differences there
Probably Teyo, I think. He has few strings attached to him story-wise because he's a new character.
Alternatively they could also put Ajani back into that spot. They've printed several mono white versions of him even past the points where he has been RW and GW.
