I feel like having Kozilek return to some sort of distress beacon would further weaken the Lovecraftian aspects of the Eldrazi. They stated back when they introduced the Eldrazi that they were meant to be something like HP Lovecraft's cosmic horrors meets Galactus but so far they're really just felt like big hungry monsters because they lack any of the mystery and horror of Lovecraft, so they're really far more Galactus as it stands than they are Lovecraft. Where the Eldrazi are upfront, direct and tangible the old ones of Lovecraft were scheming with unfathomable goals and ways to achieve them. They weren't enemies that were even presented as being even close to defeatable, they were a presence, a looming despair that covered the stories, they had inevitability. I dunno, I kind of just feel like the Eldrazi feel more like Godzilla movie monsters than cosmic horrors and I feel like them actively helping each other due to a distress signal is too pedestrian for things that are meant to be cosmic horrors.
MaRo specifically said that the new dual lands were designed to be good for two and three color decks but not for four and five color. I'd also like to point out that the new Mechanic Converge is specifically for multi-colored strategies and the only card that we've seen with it, Radiant Flames, it at it's strongest when three colors of mana are spent to cast it. With that said, I think that we will see Eldrazi in either all 5 colors or all colors except white(because there are literally zero white Eldrazi) but they will be centered in Grixis and Jund as your main deck choices.
Similarly, as the Eldrazi's foil, I think that we will see Zendikari creatures in all 5 colors, obviously, but allies will be in either all 5 colors or all colors but black while focusing on Bant and Naya. Similar to how, in Origins, Renown appeared in colors other than green and white but GW was clearly the focus of the Renown theme.
So, does that mean five mythic slots are eaten by "bling" cards? I don't think I like that very much.
Nope! Notice that these full arts have their own expansion symbol and their own little numbering at the bottom. These reprinted lands technically aren't apart of the set so your mythic slots are safe!
These are AWESOME. Not only that, but Mark Rosewater said that the full art versions are 5 of 25 extra full art foil lands that you can pull from packs. He said the other twenty are two ten card cycles that he "thinks we will like". He also said there'll be twenty more in the next set.
It looks to me like the themes we have going on here are Grixis Eldrazi vs. GW Zendikar allies. Maybe even Naya or 5c allies depending on what they reveal. I'd love more allies in all 5 colors, it'd let me.play around with that sweet new converge Mechanic.
From the official MtG Facebook page:
"Only two days remain until the Battle for Zendikar preview show! Join Will Wheaton and Aschly Burch as the Eldrazi threat is revealed live from PAX Prime!"

So it looks like those who speculated that the Eldrazi will be the main dish at PAX were correct. Still no word on whether or not that new land cycle will be shown here as well. New information will be posted as it arises and as the livestream happens this Saturday.
Do you think that the "Eldrazi threat" revealed to us will be the Titan Ulamog itself or more of it's world-devouring spawn in its stead? What else do you think will be revealed at the event? Will Gideon and his planeswalker coalition make an appearance?
I want to see a MTG version of Heroes of the Storm featuring legendary creatures and planeswalkers using iconic spells.
I would LOVE to see this happen. Theoretically, it could even be done with just planeswalkers. There are currently 29 planeswalkers who have cards in MTG, by putting oldwalkers in the game it could easily come to a roster size around that of HOTS, which is 44. I'd play it, especially if it had clever and unique mechanics to set it apart from the sea of other MOBAs.
@Silver_Spellthief Regarding Joraga Treespeaker i havent finished reading yet but, if anyone else hasnt mentioned yet, being that i did play elves during zendikar we ran arbor/llanowar over him because essentially you invest 3 mana and 2 turns into him and then he gets bolted and that sucks hard.
Oh... Yeah I didn't think of that. That could be a problem.
It's between Bant, Jeskai and Temur for me. UG and UR are definitely my favorite color pairs gameplay-wise they're just so much fun and their philosophies are so cool and compelling. But at the same time, White, I feel, is an inescapable and indespensible part of my color identity and can be quite fun in its own right.
What ties all of these together? Well, other than the fact that I just like them all because they're cool, fun and in some ways are all bits of my color identity it's the fact that none of them have Black in them, which is my least favorite color. Philosophically, Black is just... eww. Gameplay-wise it's not totally bad but I just don't think it's my style. So I suppose that since I have an aversion to Black I should identify with the combination with both of it's enemies. So, Bant with a Red slant, I guess? Maybe Temur for it's amalgam of UG and UR? But I can't leave out White... Eh, I'll just pick what I want.
Joraga treespeaker could come back, it's not necessarily 1 drop mana dork.
The removal of the mana dork allows a control deck to use their cancels to stop the 4 drop threats.
I didn't get to play back in the OG Zendikar block butaz far as I can see. Treespeaker actually looks better than an Elvish Mystic as a turn 1 drop. It essentially gets you up to 5 mana in your pool on turn 3. That said, I kinda want it to be in BFZ. Even though, with their stance on Llanowar-Mystics, I doubt wizards would reprint it here.

Nope! Starts in less than 8 minutes!

......But yeah. Damn Ulamog, you scary!
Both added to the OP! Thanks.
Thanks! Added to the OP.
I hope there's more of this sort of landfall that gives you icing on your cake if you drop a specific land type. It seems sweet.
