1x Wheel of Fortune would be a nice addition.
Also, 1x Memory Jar if you need even more draw once your hand is empty.
Both cards are restricted to one copy per deck in Vintage.
Also, Thunderclap for more burn. (It can only target creatures though, but the alternate cost can often save you from taking dmg when you are "tapped out")
I think Beacon of Immortality is a bit cheesy as a one shot kill combo, so I choose not to use it in the deck.
Also, I do not want to splash green instead of white, as that route has already been used too many times in my opinion.
I have found other cards that seem interesting for this deck :
The point of the deck is to make everyone like me by giving them life early game and evening out the battlefield with a few instants if needed. Then, once Tainted Remedy is out, people will start liking me a bit less when I make them gain life. : )
I haven't put it together and play tested it yet, because my playgroup does not meet that often : I'd like some help making this deck better before I start testing. My current goal is to make it as good as possible against not only creature decks (which is it's current strength).
What do you think of Soul Conduit? "When the life totals are exchanged, each player gains or loses the amount of life necessary to equal the other player's previous life total. For example, if Player A has 5 life and Player B has 3 life before the exchange, Player A will lose 2 life and Player B will gain 2 life. Replacement effects may modify these gains and losses, and triggered abilities may trigger on them."

I am trying to build a deck based on Tainted Remedy (and False Cure as a backup).
My current decklist is too big and I want to drop it down to 60 cards.
.Do you have any suggestions as far removing cards in the current decklist or adding cards I may have overlooked?
Also, this deck will struggle against creatureless decks. Do you have any ideas as far as dealing with those types of decks? Something like "Target player gains life for the amount of cards in his graveyard", or "All players gain X life".
I am also looking for the best way to force players to attack me with targeted/all their creatures, so that I can make them "Gain life". Any ideas?
Oh, I almost forgot : I own a lot of older cards that are valuable, but my rule for buying new cards is that I will most likely not buy cards if they cost more than 4$ each.
This is my first attempt at making a multiplayer black deck. I started out using a Buried Alive variant and created another thread to receive help from this community. I'd like to thank slave, Xyx, calderstrake and Thijs1301 for their help on that thread.
Since the deck has now become more focused and a lot of the original cards have been removed, I decided to start this new thread to receive fresh ideas.
(I hope this is not considered double-posting, as this is not my intention and I really think it's my best option to receive tips from people who may have overlooked my other thread for which the title no longer relates to the current state of the deck).
That being said, I'd appreciate all suggestions, but I would prefer not spending more than 4$ per card at the moment.
Also, if you recommend adding something please let me know what you think I should remove.
I like Fleshbag Marauder and Merciless Executioner, but I don't see what creature I would like to sacrifice when I play them : I don't run much little critters who would happily take the hit for me. Do you think they are worth adding after looking at the updated decklist on post 1?
Great. Thanks for the tips so far : I edited my deck list. My reasoning for Typhoid Rats is that I do not have much spells to play on turn 1. Typhoon Rats can end up being a nice chump blocker that can kill off big creatures and fend off attackers.
Do you think I should remove the 2x Exsanguinate and add 2x Bloodchief Ascension, thus giving me more turn 1 drops as well? (Maybe then I could remove the Rats to add other cards).
EDIT : REMOVED BURIED ALIVE VARIANT. Also, the updated decklist will always appear on original post.

I want to build a 10$ deck that I can school my friend with : he thinks spending a lot of money makes a good deck. Deck needs to be type 2, effective, and cheap. Let me know if you can think of better cards to be used.
I am like one of those people that rarely drink, but that gets wasted when they do... except for Magic.
So, the time has come to update my Affinity deck to today's standards.
I want this deck for 1V1 and I want it to be fast/consistent. Here is what I have so far. What do you think of the mana/land base?
Please keep suggestions limited to cards that are worth about 5$ or less each. Thanks for your help.
Hey Nicholas - the post references 1v1, but this was posted to the Multiplayer subforum. Did you intend for this to be a multiplayer deck? If so, the advice would be quite different than if it was for casual 1v1 play. I'm sure one of the Mods would be happy to relocate this for you, if desired.
The forum categories have changed since I've last posted. Previously, there was a casual forum where you could post 1 on 1 decks. I could not find it when I posted. Me and my friend play and use any card printed (except unglued and those cards) and follow the Type 1 restricted card list and Type 2 rules. Where should my deck have been posted?
Also, thank you for the card suggestions : now I only have to figure out what to remove...
EDIT : a moderator has moved my thread. THANK YOU.
As usual, I take too long breaks from the game and then I miss out on all the new stuff that came out.
I did a bit of research and have come up with a budget (cheap on the wallet) wizard deck I would like to build and test while playing casually (1 on 1 with a friend).
As of now, I think it is missing a kill condition.
Please let me know what I should add and take out of the deck, as I am aware that I probably omitted certain cards, most likely because I don't know they exist. I would like for the cards suggested to cost 3$ or less.
Also, 1x Memory Jar if you need even more draw once your hand is empty.

I have found other cards that seem interesting for this deck :
Needlebite Trap
Curse of the Forsaken
Laquatus's Champion
Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim
Cliffhaven Vampire
Which do you think should be added into the decklist?

4x Thrull Parasite
1x Erebos, God of the Dead
2x Crypt Ghast
4x Gray Merchant of Asphodel
4x Demigod of Revenge
1x Kokusho, the Evening Star
1x Sepulchral Primordial

1x No Mercy
1x Grave Pact
1x Whip of Erebos
1x Ashes to Ashes
22x Swamp
3x Worn Powerstone

I prefer not using Exsanguinate, because my playgroup sees it as "un-fun" and overpowered in multiplayer.
Thanks, Nick

Do I really need more land even with the 3x Worn Powerstone and 1x Sol Ring? (+20 Swamps)
Any other ideas?
