I've tried Lilliana, but each time I draw here, I find myself wishing she was Garruk. And as far as Primeval Titan, whats the point? 6cc is where the deck tops out anyway, while deck thinning is always good, thats why I'm running full playsets of Verdant Catacombs and Kodama's Rea... err, Cultivate. Besides, which would you rather have: two lands or two 2/2s? Also, I was thinking of putting a playset of Birds in to improve clock speed, seeing as I can turn 1 Birds into turn 2 cultivate, into turn 3 Garruk, into turn 4 Grave Titan. Also, Birds + Boar Umbra is just nasty. However, there just isn't space right now for such a fragile creature. Thoughts?
To be honest with you, and this may seem off the deep end, but pretend you're Nichol Bolas. You have to think in time scales far longer than you're used to. Simply hang out with her long enough to become her best friend. You will know the time to strike is right when she would rather hang out with you than anyone else. Find out the different things she likes (music, movies, weekend activities, etc. and from her, if you stalk her it looks creepy.) and do them. Think about this, if someone wanted to be my girlfriend, they should get me drunk and take me to a concert of a band I like. I'm sure you can think of a similar "perfect" date situation for you. All you have to do is put yourself in her shoes and think about what she wants from you. Simple as that. All of this requires the patience and fore thought of an eons old dragon. Even then, you must be prepared for the worst: ending up stuck in friendship limbo, or worse outright rejection. If its not going anywhere after two months, or she ends up openly interested in someone else: MOVE ON! Trust me, nothing is worse than seeing the person you like enter a relationship with someone else. This has happened to me more times than I like to think about, both with the girl interested in absolute douche bags and one of my absolute best friends. As a result of this, you must have skin and scales that can withstand the flames of envy. Above all, don't get too invested. Be a little aloof, like it doesn't really matter if you hang out or not, even if it matters more than anything else in the world at that moment. Women hate desperation, and can smell it from a mile a way. If she isn't into you, that doesn't mean your doing anything wrong, it just means she isn't attracted to you. There is nothing you can do to change that. Ever. Old Bolas is a mysterious, dark entity, and you should be too. Let her find out about you, don't just offer up your life story. Make her work for it. Besides, that is a clear sign of interest. Anyway, I digress, you will be fine and we as a community of geeks and nerds are here for you. I'm spending my day working on the most bomb ass mono black EDH deck ever, and you guys are talking about tortoises? Don't get me wrong, I love tortoises as much as the next guy, but how does this help us? Do they carry any hemorrhagic plagues? Can we weaponize them? Are they fun to reanimate? I swear, it is impossible to find good minions these days...
Mighty Guild of Izzet: I come before you seeking the aid of your finest chronomancer. Answer my query: If time is cyclical (Nietzsche, Jainists, and Nichol Bolas seem to think so, and I'm inclined to trust them on such matters...), how best would you recommend bringing about the end times, if at all possible? I was hoping some dooms day device built by zombified mergoblins, but I'm open to suggestions.

Hey, as a big music buff I'd like to apply for friend of clan status within [Soundtrack]. Corollary to that, I am an amateur disk jockey and mix master, and very much into the dubstep and drum 'n bass scene, and was wondering if anyone else within the clan is?
Aye, the end draws near, except I'm fairly certain time is cyclical (Zarathustra sprak it so it must be true). Can we get an zombified Izzet Chronomancer to clear this up? That clan has to be good for something... Regardless, I'm getting back into magic, most likely Legacy, it being an eternal format and all I dont have to constantly chase after new pools of cards (being a warrior of legend isn't cheap kids...). In the mean time we need to hatch some plans and start coming up with devious (read hilarious) things we can do. If we are going to be the clan of tricksters we need to live up to that name!!! In the mean time, I must get back to my Carnival of Souls powered dooms day device (that card has to be good for something after all...).
Oh and one more thing: Mono Black EDH deck, one to rule them all! I've been bouncing the idea around in my head for a while, I think it could be a good team, err, syndicate building challenge. What do you guys think?

College has been pretty interesting, but with the upcoming return of Phyrexians (my favorite minions, hopefully they get a legit creature type this time around...) to Mirrodin (my favorite plane thus far...), how could I not get back into the game and with it get back into my Clan. Anyway, catch me up. Whats happened in my absence, who's new, who's still here, and what are we conquering next?
The deck does have a slight problem with land consistency, but I really like the balance its at right now with 22/16/22. However, once you reach 3-4 lands with the right mix of mana, it becomes nasty quick. This is one of my favorite decks. Of all time. Period. Stupid efficient creatures, and a pile of spells that all essentially read: Beat the ever-loving crap out of target player, make this deck difficult to deal with at best. Not quite sure about Quest for the Gravelord yet. Sure, I love a bargan 5/5 that I can essentially cascade into, and lots of creatures hit the yard when this deck is in play, but it strangely ends up being a dead card in play with two counters on it most of the time. More playtesting with decide its fate, might replace it with Duress. Oh and Vampire Nighthawk is the new Kitchen Finks...
