I know, there are many other tribes that haven't really been explored; Orcs, Ogres, Pegasi, Homarids... I guess my main problem with Dwarves is that they have so many good tools, and nothing to use them with. Okay, maybe it is a bit personal...
I don't know if they hate small people; they did Kithkins, which are basically white Dwarves. There are just as many Kithkin as Dwarves, and prior to Lorwyn, they pretty much didn't exist! (there were 5, 3 of which came from TSP block) All Dwarves need is a single set to help them out, and I'll be happy...-ish.
Whoa, whoa, whoa... Soldiers haven't been missing anything! I've been playing Soldiers for years, I have a very competitive extended tribal deck that kicks butt in my area. Yes, Field Marshall is awesome and four of them are going into my deck, but there are other good ones, many of which have been mentioned.
Shared Triumph is ten times better than Glorious Anthem in Tribal. A fun combo I play is Enlistment Officer with Eiganjo Free-Riders, giving me more Soldier every turn. I also like using Conjurer's Bauble with Leonin Squire and Auriok Salvagers for card draw. I'm not gonna give away all of my decks secrets, though... I know I'm talking Extended, but that's a much better format for Soldier, so many more strong options.
As for your decklist, I wouldn't play Bushi Tenderfoot, because when he flips, he becomes Samurai, and is therefore shunned by the rest of the deck =]. Also, without field marshall, he won't do you much good unless they block with a 0/1. With such a low mana curve, you don't need 24 lands, IMO, unless you plan on accually paying for Fury of the Horde. Some Sunhome Enforcers are very good for defense. You also seriously need Anthems, Field Marshall and a few burn spells are not enough to save your weenies.
SOLDIERS OWN ALL OTHERS!
That requires people to accually keep track of how many turns they take. If they limited it to turn one or two, it might be interesting on some cards, but not as a block mechanic.
Vote 2: Time Stop vs Spelljack: Ugh... I don't like blue much anyway. Time Stop seems like a very "blue" ability that hasn't been done before. Spelljack's combination of blue's counter and stealing abilities is interesting, but overpriced. And Time Stop has so many more uses. I voted Time Stop.
Howling Mine Sketch: First off, both look very good, and I would not be dissapointed if either won. I voted A, though. B looks more like the most recent version, but I like mixing it up every so often.
Might of Oaks Sketch: I voted B. A looks to generic; it could be used for a creature, enchantment, whatever. Plus, it doesn't look like someone being given the strength of the forest. B looks amazing, like a guy has created a giant suit of armor out of trees. B all the way!
