Charlequin... I don't think that the *classic* planeswalkers will be printed as planeswalker cards, because of the fact that there was a shift in what a Planeswalker is since the Time Spiral block. Teferi morphed back from being a Planeswalker to a normal person, thus enabling us (the REAL planeswalkers) to play him as a *pawn*. The new breed of planeswalkers are different, less god-like, and are not on the same level as we (the players as planeswalkers) are. So I think it's safe to assumethat the classic planeswalkers won't be cardified. I wanted to add "never" but you never know with Wizards...
I think it would be a kick-ass poster, having the five mana symbols in a pentagon with their most defining creature in the background. I think THAT would be profitable, and not in the last place look pretty on your room
*sighs* If you think about it, you know that the Elf isn't black-green: I know we can't judge by art alone, but the Elf is reaching for a flower, in a very, VERY dark place. The Elves of Shadowmoor rescue prettyness from all over the world. This Elf is doing just that, instead of slashing it away.
So I think we can safely assume that this elf is just green or green-white.
A lot better but your textures seem a little... uninteresting. Try to spice them up a little bit, for example so that you can see that a blue-black card really is that: Right now it's too dark to see the difference.
Hmm... Perhaps you could extend the mana bar all the way to the bottom and make a P/T box there with the same charachteristics as the expansion box? And I'd definately go for the right version.
I gotta agree that Phyrexia needed muscle over genius to guide the troops. Volrath would plot scheme after scheme during the invasion, instead of rallying his troops towards complete Dominarian control.
Hmm... I don't agree with the *alternate realities don't count* thing. I think Mirri would have been a great Evincar. While some of you say *it's just one card*, it tells us a lot: without the mogs and the Kor instead, things should have been done more swifter and more cunningly. I guess she would have completely obtained the Legacy Weapon and fired it upon Dominaria.
OK, so by now it's obvious that Kardoth the Impaler and Keeper of the Dark Flame are just WotC "sanctioned" proxys (:p) that were printed out (on regular paper!) and handed out to the kids. I must say I'm pretty intrigued by this little top-down development, and must confess that I would like the idea of having kids dabble in the research at some point, just for kicks and to provide a different view on cards.
Lands don't have mana symbols because, well, they don't need it. A land produces mana, which should be enough. Gold wouldn't need one either, simply put because of the whole reason why a border is gold: it consists of multiple colors.
The only thing you could think of, though, is a mana symbol for a permanent that needs to be paid for with any color of magic, no collorles mana allowed. The closest we came was a mana symbol with a gold 1 on a background of all five colors. Didn't work out good, though (read: didn't put enough thought and energy in it to redesign the manasymbol).
That forest looks the most natural of the bunch IMHO, but I think that's because of the fact that several objects really are in front of each other in the picture. Nicely done!
Kamigawa introduced another aspect: it was said that when the great Daimyo extracted an essence ofthe Great Serpent, he weakened the barrier that was between the material world and the spirit world. Myojin of Night's Reach threw Toshiro into Dominaria, claiming that she abused the fact that the border between the two realms was fractured, and that she became aware of other worlds next to Kamigawa. This implies that O-Kagachi and the rest of the spirit world inhabit the Blind Eternities. Night's Reach also said to Toshiro that on every world she visited, people prayed to different aspects of her. So, a lay-down:
- O-Kagachi is the one responsible for maintaining the barrier between worlds / planes;
- If his attention weaks, so does the barrier;
- Might's Reach was able to warp Toshi to another world with him losing his mind
- Kamigawa is the only plane where the spirits directly contact the people;
- According to Night's Reach, the borders are so fractured that she is able to move around the planes freely.
Now, it's getting pretty late here so I could have juggled some facts into eachother, but I think I'm fairly close...
Hey schtingah, that could actually work! 2 life for a penalty for when it becomes tapped, but without a way out of itself to tap, looks cool! And the amount of mana is something I'll deal with later. But you got me thinking anyway
So I think we can safely assume that this elf is just green or green-white.
I'm deeple saddened by this news. The Magic art community lost one of it's best today, and at such a young age it makes you all cry "WHY!?!".
Rest in peace PBG, may you have your final restingplace on the polarbear fields

Kardoth's flavor text rocks, though
