Weremoon, it's not just the clouds that are perfectly sliced in two; if you look closely, you can see that the two spires rising up from the water create some sort of "shadow", in which the water doesn't come; this goes against the natural laws, as the water normally will try to fill up space. That doesn't happen here. There's a canal, too, which looks very artificial.

Oh god, there's definately some great artwork. If Jace vs Chandra is going to be a duel deck full of cards with new artwork, I am SO going to buy it. Heck, it might even pull me back into playing the only real magic I ever played (prerelease tournaments)...

Filligree girl, filligree girl, you rock my hart and soul with your swirl...

Hmm, I must say I haven't got that much experience with the Penguin, I saw him a few times in the OLD Batman series, but he was a goofball in there so... I dunno :/ But... Here's another bit of speculation. What if we return Scarecrow into the equation, while experimenting on some new drug his lab gets crashed by our lovely, not-yet Poison Ivy because what he's doing with plants is wrong? Scarecrow dashes off while detonating his supply, leaving Ivy for dead. In the end, it would seem she's not dead but turned into Poison Ivy.

The way I'm thinking now would mean it would come too close to the Scarecrow storyline, so I think my ideas end here for another one to be picked up Wink Still, using Scarecrow as a minor charachter just used for giving the existince of another a reason might work...

I would disagree throwing in Catwoman as a love interest and morale-questioner. Rachel just died; it would meanthat we would have to skip a few years. The Penguin? Fat (ghe) chance, the character really is absurd. Man-bat and Freeze? both freak incidents, and we don't do freak incidents in the Nolanverse just yet. That takes Bane and Poison Ivy out of the equation as well. A look through the list of Batman villains reveals that there isn't much left, though Deacon Blackfire cought my eye; imagine how Batman would stop an entire army of people who have got nothing to lose anyway? Next to that, only the Riddler really remains...

Well, this http://www.tvguide.sympatico.msn.ca/TVNews/Articles/080818_90210_alum_riddler_DW]guy from Beverley Hills 90210[/url] wants to play the Riddler as well. I think he could pull it off, but seeing as Jim Carey made a hell of a Riddler back then, in cobination with the fact that his later films have been a bit more darker, makes me think they could bring him back. That would be so cool...

[EDIT] Now why can't I mask my links? Normally, I use [url=www.something.com] and end it with a closing bracket, but it doesn't work with the above link. What's going on?

I've played it, and while I found a few arts on the home page suspect, I don't really think they're new. Posting for your consideration, though... I'm totally unsure about the boar, it doesn't look familair but yet I've got the feeling it isn't new either. Can someone autocard-search it for me?

[EDIT] I've wondered for a while now... But who / what is Sarnath?

Hmm... It could be that they are porting Shandalar to Xbox Live with an updated rulessystem and library to check out if it's feasible to let it have MTGO too... As to why they would release it on PC as well, no clue...

It atleast confirms the leaked info from back then what the names of the shards will be. As for the rest... I can't really speculate on it. That being said, Naya isn't a "who"; it's an "it", namely the name of the shard, not the name of that Leonin. We already had observed that the Leonin was probably the same as the Plainswalker. Also... keep in mind that Wizards didn'tsay that the plainswalkers are released chronologically. This could be the same dude that becomes the plainswalker later on...

Today's Ask Wizards gave us the high-res symbols used for the Futureshifted templates. However, they added one extra that could come in handy for all of you modders out there: the Planeswalker symbol! I think these could also look cool in the background of the textbox Smile

Well, first posts with info like this is usually frowned upon, but while you're at it... Could you give us a name of at least two planeswalkers?

  • posted a message on [ALA] What do the Shards of Alara lands tell us?
Ah, Filligree. I forgot about that. Perhaps this ties in with the lands as well. I've heard a few people say that the Islands look under construction... perhaps it's just the land being affected by filligree, but in a different way living beings are affected? I wonder if creatues created by magic are entirely composed of filligree...
