Hardcore, bloodthirsty, grinding, terrible control. The kind of control that makes the entire experience static, and you know the game is won even though the control player doesn't actually have their wincon and won't for another 10 turns. That's excruciating to play against in my opinion.
Breya legitimately benefits from having access to Red. Esper synergy with access to stuff like Goblin Welder. Daretti, Scrap Savant. Daretti, Ingenious Iconoclast, Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer, Feldon of the Third Path and that's just off the top of my head. Red has so much good stuff for an artifact focused deck, and I'm always genuinely happy to get to play it all. I can't strictly speak for the other decks of course, but at the very least Breya's access to all four of her colors have been an absolute Godsend, and she's actually become my favorite deck to play.
Everyone is going crazy for the c16 decks but Atraxa is the one that is worth money.
See, I disagree with this. I always see a lot of initial excitement for Atraxa, but she never turns out to be as strong as she looks out of the box. The real winners to me are Breya, Etherium Shaper and Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder Both of those have the potential to make huge, heavy swings in the game at the drop of a hat, whereas Atraxa is much slower and more methodical. She can build up huge forces but it's generally pretty easy to take that away when you can see it coming.
Anyway more on topic, Atraxa costs less and is much easier to get in for commander damage, whereas Rafiq hits a lot harder but generally doesn't bring much else to the table. It's up to personal preference as to which you value more. Personally I like Atraxa more since she's more flexible, but I think Rafiq will be more reliable.
I'd like to suggest Rafiq of the Many. She was a soldier, and a fine one at that. After she broke her sword she became kind of a lone wolf and works best when alone. Plus I can just imagine when she's finally caught alone, she reforges her sword and shows her true, terrifying power.
Someone I just thought of would be Saskia the Unyielding. Riven is just raw, terrifying power and she would be unrelenting in punishing her chosen target, even if she has to cut through someone else to establish it. Plus the black in her mana cost would reflect her Noxus roots well without outright being just 'evil'.
Hello friends! I've been challenged to build an enchantment based deck. I'm usually not a huge fan of them, so I thought this would be a fun way to step out of my comfort zone. I decided on Narset because I really jive with her sort of melee/caster combat aesthetic (I have a Red Mage tattoo!) Here's what I've got so far. Looking for some more suggestions that would really help bring the deck together. Particularly creatures. They don't have to 100% interact with enchantments, but I will be leaning towards those. Same with instants/sorceries/artifacts. I'd also like to note that this is going to be fairly budget, so nothing too over the top cost wise.
Hello hello! This is my first venture into partner territory, and I've always had my eye on [Tana, the Bloodsower as something of an underrated gem. She seems like she could spiral out of control quite fast with the right color combo and support. Enter Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder. With access to white you get tons of anthems, as well as Selesnya goodness to support the go wide with tokens theme. So far the deck has actually performed quite well...mostly. Turn 3 Hero's Blade into turn 4 Tana, turn 5 Bruse, swing for 10, get 10 tokens and gain 10 life was just fantastic. And then someone wrath'd the board and I could never quite recover, and therein lies my problem. The deck is very, very reliant on Tana to do the heavy lifting. If she can't survive enough to make her small army it just crumbles and I'm struggling to find ways to deal with that. Suggestions for cards and strategies would be amazing. Here's the list I have so far. I'm quite proud of it being as it clocks in around $70.
Thanks for the suggestions. At the very least I've got a starting direction to go in now. Here's my first very, very rough draft of what I want out of it, minus land. Right now it's sort of a goodstuff.deck with a healthy amount of removal and a bunch of mana rocks. I know I'm gonna have to cut some stuff to make room for more land, especially with the ludicrously high curve I've got.
Current goals for the deck:
1) Bring down the mana curve
2) Make room for more land
3) Make the strategy a little more focused, rather than just winning via value creatures.
4) Make sure it's a deck people will enjoy playing AGAINST.
As the title says. In a bit of goofiness, I was given the choice of 12 generals to pick from and I picked Tariel, Reckoner of Souls. However I'm not altogether sure how I want to/should build her. This sort of stemmed from my current commander decks being just a tad above the power level of my group. Rather than telling them to get good or some other rude thing, I want to build something a little goofy and a little fun. I figured Tariel was just that. A decently strong creature in her own right, but pretty hard to abuse and break. Plus since her main draw directly relies on the strength of my opponents' creatures I think that's a pretty safe power ceiling.
That said, I have no idea what to do. I thought I'd include some wheel effects and such, or maybe other forms of mill. Of course removal is good, but EDHrec has kind of a silly amount of exile, and I think that's counter-intuitive to what I actually want to happen. What're your ideas? As always help is appreciated!

Edit: I should also note that I'd like this to be fairly budget. One to keep the power level down, but also so I don't break the bank trying to make this work.
As the title says, I'm interested in trying out Pauper. I've been playing almost exclusively Commander for a while now, and I sort of miss the 60 card decks. I thought I would get back into it with a format I've always been interested in, and with the lowest cost by nature to boot. And so I decided on trying out a Rogue tribal deck centered around Morsel Theft and utilizing key cards like pestermite and rathi trapper to maintain a solid tempo advantage while using various means of evasion to deal reliable, steady damage. I'd love some feedback. I'm sure there's plenty of Pauper gems I've missed and I'd love to know how I can improve the decklist, or even if I'm just say off the mark
And Breya? She brings 2 things: The option to use her middle ability for spot removal because you'll have PLENTY of fodder to feed her, and she brings some of that fodder whenever she's cast. Other than that she's just a cog in the machine. She's probably one of the first artifact generals that can be built with a great focus on aggro thanks to her inclusion with red.
As the title says. My girlfriend and I recently came up with a fun method of determining our next EDH colors (which I may or may not post in another thread if people are interested in such things) and I ended up with colorless. She offered to let me reroll, but I wanted to explore this option first. My main concern is that it looks like Wastes are actually fairly expensive compared to basic lands, and there's a limit as to what kinds of, and how many effects you can get with no colors at all. It looks like Kozilek, the Great Distortion is the most affordable of the 6 colorless commanders I have to choose from, and it's convenient since he's very Blue in nature and Blue is my favorite color in magic. I adore card draw, and I can get behind counter spells, especially when they're interesting in nature.
However, it looks like a huge majority of the decent colorless cards are fairly pricey, and that coupled with the price of Wastes is making it look like it's going to turn out to be more than I want to spend. 50 cents a pop doesn't sound like a ton until you realize that getting 36 or so of them just set you back $18 just for basic lands.
