I'm not so sure about a bubble, but this set will be opened more than any other set ever, just in hopes of getting those expedition lands. It will enevitably tank the value of everything else in the set.
Because it counts as a mountain to ensure valakut triggers and at the same time ensures better mana fixing for green mana. Either way, I'd only want to run maybe 2 and test it first.
Makes me wonder if our mana base will improve if we run the new Rg dual cinder glade? we already run a lot of basics and end up tutoring and ramping a lot of our lands anyways...Synergizes with farseek and wood elves if we happen to decide on running them, plus it counts as a mountain for our valakut triggers. It also reduces the likelihood of openers clogged with basic mountains. What do you guys think?

I think a functional reprint of krosan wayfarer would be a nice addition to Modern. It would go a long way to boost a lot of tier 2-3 ramp decks, and doesn't easily slot in any existing tier 1 decks.
I think it's highly unlikely BFZ will provide us with anything playable or good enough in terms of 1 drops that will slot into Zoo. Even with the ability to cast t2 3-drops off hierarch and the value generated by CoCo, having too many 3 drops in this deck feels really 'clunky' vs faster decks and decks packing a lot of cheap disruption. Casting cards like goyf and especially Pridemage is simply too much value to ignore here and allows us to keep up mana for our own removal / qasali activation. Even though this iteration of Zoo is more 'midrangey' we still want to keep as low a curve as possible.
Went 5-0 and got first place. Not bad. Won enough in store credit to finish the last in my playset of caven of souls and got a modern masters booster pack and pulled foil simic growth chamber and goyf
Being used to playing mostly Small Zoo,the additions of collected company and dromoka's command really give this deck a power boost it needs. It always feels good to CoCo turn 3 dropping goyf + 3 drop, GG. The sideboard needs work, but overall I'm really liking the way it performs. Goblin guides are a fossil from a previous iteration of the deck, I never played them once, and wouldn't miss them, but I think the deck needs 1-2 other power one-drop creatures to give some more turn 1 plays but otherwise everything is good and solid.
The mana curve on this deck is really sloppy, I feel there's too many turns we're not doing anything. What about adding in 4 lightning bolt??? From the last list I posted, move 2 chalice to the sideboard, 1 anger to the sideboard, and remove 1 emrakul entirely. Now we have 8 cards that can be played turn one, and 6 on turn 2. and 6 three drops in courser and anger. When playtesting by myself, the deck runs smoothly and can probably poke away some threats now like goblin guide or snapcaster mage. I didn't like abrupt decay because it competed too much with sakura-tribe elder and farseek.
I hear you. I think you hit the nail on the head. I think the greatest stumbling block for this deck is that it's half to one full-turn too slow for what we need to be doing. That plus not having good main deck outs vs our bad matchups. Compared to other more competitive 'ramp' decks (Amulet Bloom, Tron) we are generally lacking good 1-mana plays and consistency tools. Tron has its eggs, stirrings, And Amulet Bloom has visions, sleight, stirring and amulet. Whereas generally the only thing we can be doing turn 1 for 1 mana is suspending search for tomorrow . Not to mention those decks are more highly synergistic than we are.
nimble mongoose zoo and tempo decks would love this guy lava blister provides half decent cheap land hate counterspell just because its not at all over powered in modern. fact or fiction to give a control a shot in the arm. force of will (semi-functional reprint) -must be fixed in such a way so that combo can't use it, perhaps a 'cast only if you cast no other spells this turn' clause.
Functinal reprint of vindicate but costs 1BG
Those would go a long way to give modern some catch all answer cards it really needs now.
