How about an enchantment for gate strategy?

    Urban Sprawl (Rare)
Each land you control is a Gate in addition to its other types.

To strong. Enables gate benefit cards without having to play any gates. That enchantment would have to cost 3 or 4 to be anywhere near balanced. It would be like making a Locus version so Cloudpost can produce ridiculous amount of mana with ease.

@ Manite - Gateway Project is good the simple way. If you want to make sure it feels common have the lands with contruction counters be gates only while Gateway Project is in play wih a seperate static ability for making them Gates. Gateway Construction Zone could untap the Gate it put into play but be sorcery activation to avoid doing it during an opponents turn. Gateway Constructor is perfect where it is.

    needs flash

No it doesn’t. The effect lasts until your next turn. What it needs is a built in flicker effect to reuse the temp prison effect.

I despise the Domri art. He looks like a fifth grader who got a crazy haircut and tantrums for attention.

You'd figure the GRUUL planeswalker's would be an ass kicking machine not this crap.

We can’t have dudes like Garruk anymore because they have ‘toxic masculinity’. Yet it’s totally fine if Liliana gets a curse placed on him and sends zombies to try and kill him in a fight. Basically its ok for a woman to give a man brain cancer, but heaven forbid that man get angry with her and hunter down to get it removed.
Gideon is only ok because he hasn’t gotten into an altercation with a woman who was trying to kill him.

Lets not even get into the lore about how none of the Gruul would accept him as leader because he can’t win a fight against them to claim dominance.

Why does a card that is completely at the whim of the RNGod cost 6 mana?
There is always the infinitesimal but real chance of going Splinter-Twin-ish with this and any one creature, the later it enters, the less bad it feels to lose to sheer dumb luck.
There is absolutely no frakkin change in ‘bad feels’ to loseing to this turn 4 than turn 6. Decevier-Twin and Saheeli Copy-Cat decks gave you full control on when the limitless copying happened. This doesn’t, even with Krark’s Thumb. No effect that you have zero control over should cost alot specifically because you can’t mitigate it. They should cost less because of it, not more.

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker Commander sez "Hello!" Unibrow Unibrow Unibrow

What exactly Kiki-Jiki can do with it?

Nothing. Hence why he was joking.

Good thing you can’t get counters off on it first turn with shocks cause that would be busted. Online creature kill third turn is already bad enough.

Why does a card that is completely at the whim of the RNGod cost 6 mana? This should cost 4.

Well, the purpose of this card would be to cast a giant Banefire as follow-up or so.

No. You can't cast noncreature spells.

    That was actually my point.

So you have to add Dark-Dweller Oracle to the mix, which makes it kinda unwieldy.

You still can’t cast noncreature spells off the Oracle, or any red effect like it, with Nikya out because its still you casting the spell.

Your opponent could leave Fires of Yavimaya uncountered and save counter spells to counter the creatures you want to cast. They would be better off saving the counter spell for Flametounge Kavu. Fires is absolutely worthless unless you can get creatures on the board.

The opponent has to counter Rhythm of the Savages or else they can’t counter the creatures your going to cast, meaning your absolutely getting threats on the board to hit them with. Either now or stronger a turn later. And multiples of Rhythm stack. You can have one give haste and the rest give +1/+1 counters.

Took me a moment to decide whether or not there are ever times when giving up 5 damage worth of attackers is worth 2 damage on a Prodigal Sorcerer.

Tiny little Deathtouch creatures say "Hi!"

    Yes, them too

There are much better options to clear away weak deathtouchers than a five mana 4/4 that needs you to remove a +1/+1 counter and tap it.

for that mana cost they cannot give me flying?

I was gonna agree with ya but in typeing a responce i realised....
    *it survives lightning bolt
    *gains life
*makes them discard the lesser burn that couldn’t kill this

This is actually pretty strong as it is.

Yes! Another one of these guys. I'm building a deck with all the cheap lil buddies that have effects like this. Suppose I could make a Brawl deck with the new Rakdos Girl...

I can't think of any others currently...

This new guys is worse. He return to your hand not the battlefield like the others.

I swear they don't want control to exist at all...Midrange and Aggro only under MARO & FRIENDS. No Control and No Combo Allowed.

Would you like to see a decent Edict effect like Diabolic Edict in Standard? I'd be okay with that, of course I don't play Standard but would like to see it come to Modern.

We did have one in Trial of Ambition. Heck you could bounce it back to your hand with a Cartouche. Probably would have seen more play if not for Fatal Push being in the same standard with it.

I have no idea why people are talking about Adapt being overcosted based on two cards. It seems obvious that the power level of Adapt depends on the specific cost on any given card. "2UG: Adapt 1" is expensive. "UG: Adapt 3" would be cheap.

I'm hoping to see at least one Adapt X somewhere in the set.

You have to much faith in WotC. We’re in the PlayDesign era now. We got Chamber Sentry because of a previous pre PlayDesign group making Walking Ballista and then PlayDesign weeding out something similar.
They decided to ‘fix’ be making a mechanic 98% the same instead of...just not making a “fixed” monstrosity in the first place.
Adapt still has most of Monstrosity’s issue with 2% situational upside.
Also the flavor is incredibly stupid. The guild who constantly change to be stronger life forms....can Adapt...once...oh unless all of said change is removed. Then it can that exact same state...instead of changeing to not be effected by the thing that removed its previous change.
I.e - The guy in the trailer who adds two lobsters arms to himself. Said guy fights a Gruul who easily kicks his ass and rips off his lobster arms. So instead of lobster arm guy seeing the lobster arms graft as the failure it was, decides that he can totally beat that Gruul guy by....adding two lobster arms again. No other improvements...just two lobster arms...again.

Nonbo with Rest In Peace. Also Nonbo with the new Lavinia. Doesn't do anything for humans.

I guess Devoted Druid decks when they combo off?

This still works with new Lavinia. Even if your opponents gos to cast a spell on your turn with CMC equal to the spell their casting they need and extra 1. Forcing your opponents to have to only do things on their turn while being able to still do things on their turn is a big tempo advantage.

On another note, with Afterlife being a mechanic expect a reprint of Phantom General in the set.

I mean the second ability of the new Lavinia is negated, since Tithe Taker forces the player to pay 1 mana for a 0 mana spell. This is important because it also means Lavinia cannot stop suspend spells.

Tithe Taker taxs your opponents during your turn. Your opponents suspend triggers go off on their upkeep i.e-not on your turn 😉.
