Oh yeah. If I have any real aim in life, it's to superimpose my delusions of grandeur over reality, which is much more malleable than most people think.

Plans are for pussies. I have whims and contingencies.

So, between these two, you are going to live a life of childish impulses and unfulfilled desires, while fantasizing about some grand goal that you will never achieve. How... aw hell, thats just the least mature, least intelligent way to go about life. If you are actually being serious about this attitude, I'll hedge my bets on suicide once you get your dead-end job.

    Quote from EvilDuck
See, that's where we differ. You put more faith in the group, I, in the individual. In said apocalyptic fantasy, I am driving around a Road-Warrior-esque vehicle in a cloud costume, tripping balls, pillaging Guitar Centers and scaring any unfortunate huddled circles with haphazard grenades.

I don't know where to start with this... so I'll just go with "you are a five year old" and leave it at that.

Vess would work well in this deck. I struggle to see how having one and two ofs in a decks land base could be called consistent, but i will take your word for it.

I love the use of Spitebellows though, brilliant.

My manabases all tend to look like this. Take my base from my rav-kamigawa t2 rwb creation:

Seems odd, but like this one, its a manabase built and tuned on playtesting. While this deck's mana is by no means complete (im going to splash blue for teferi's moat in the board, ect.), its not going to end up being a neat list of 4-ofs and basics. Those are for people with no time and no respect for lands. Frown

    Major revision time!

Here is what I have now, its running a sort of Vess toolbox that works damn well. I kinda wanna make Tendrils of Agony work here, but its just not going to... :'(
However, lash outs seem to be working well - though they are entirely replaceable with incinerates and/or inversions and/or any other 2-mana hit for 3 removal spell.

    Quote from Cyan
It's fascinating how much additional information is available about this case/police department if you take the time to look for it. Like this article, which provides an example of another recent case through this same police department that involved an inappropriate strip search.

Or this article, which says that the state AG is now investigating this case.

If Steffey had no justification, certainly the AG wouldn't be getting involved.

As has been abundantly obvious all along, the police involved in this are egregiously guilty, and should all be held criminally/civilly liable for what will likely cause this woman permanent psychological damage.

Well, she was convicted of both resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, so she isn't completely guiltless. Again, while some of the details are clearer now, here is the best I can get:

She is assaulted by her cousin and calls the cops.
The cop asks for ID, she gives the wrong one - it isnt legal to have someone else's ID.
    **MISSING INFORMATION**
The cops forcefully arrest Steffey. She resists arrest and is injured.
    **MISSING INFORMATION**|
In jail, while being questioned, Steffey responds to a question in a way that makes the guards believe that she may have intent to harm herself. She resists (as per the video) to the point of requiring male officers to come in and aid in the strip-search.
She is left naked for 6 hours for unspecified reasons.

Of all the information we have here, there is NOTHING inherently wrong with what the police did. Now, keeping in mind that we have NO information between her giving the wrong id and her getting arrested, here is my theory on what actually happened:

Steffey calls the cops. The police comes to a chaotic scene, and demand some ID. She shows them the wrong id, the possession of which is illegal (How do you show the wrong ID?). When they refuse to return it (which they are totally allowed to do), Steffey gets belligerent - she probably attempts to get the ID back, and may have attempted to attack the officer. Immediately, the officer subdues her and takes her to jail. Keep in mind that she is fighting him this entire time. I don't know about you, but for me, its kinda hard to keep a psychotic ***** in check when she is trying to slug you in the face. In jail, they question her, and based on her disturbed state and responses, assume that she is possibly suicidal. She is strip searched to make sure that she can't harm herself and is confined to her cell (why for six hours?). Steffey IS convicted of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

So are the officers totally innocent - nah, they were probably overly harsh and could have given back the ID. BUT, I don't think that there is still any foul play with the officers. Barring new information, my opinion remains unchanged.

The toughness of it will be more determined by the entries, which we have yet to see. Wink The topic is actually very wide open since you're left to interpret what a black-hearted shape-shifting pseudodeity looks like in the world of Magic.

This is a very fun month. I hope to be able to color my sketch and submit it soon. Kekeke In the mean-time, I suppose I can open the floodgates of rough drafts and give ye a little peek at what I'm doing. :p

He looks too young... yawgmoth is... ancient. In life, he was an old scientist , and I would think that he would base his "god" form on that... other than the over-youthfulness of this guy, I like it.

I have always been for M-Theory. I see no reason as to why we can't have an infinite amount of infinite realities. Also, it can hold religious faith with the hole "God can do anything" idea.

I can't see a massive religious debate popping around this - to me, this is akin to relativity (only m-theory is much cooler and - i hope - true) rather than evolution. You can't really disprove math. Anyways, I would totally love for string theory to be "confirmed".

Oh, and for those that want to learn about string theory but don't like complexity, read "The Elegant Universe" by Brian Greene.

We can blame japan for a lot of sexual deviance... most notably, furries. However, their birth rate, ~8.1 births/1,000 population, is nothing compared to china's 13.45 and even our 14.6 OMG

Simplest solution JOIN UP NOW! Why wait for a disaster to counterbalance humanity why not just STOP HAVING KIDS.

Sure it takes more then just 10,000 or so people doing this but every little bit helps.

It also has a more lasting effect as time goes on. If I don't have kids the whole branching out to be about 20-40+ people in 2-3 generations won't happen.

OMG... I laughed so hard when I read that site that I peed myself. This concept is more ridiculous than... Al Gore. Please tell me you're kidding, because any respect I may have had for you will be gone if you aren't.

I'll just throw in my two cents real quick: I would absolutely love some horrible disaster to befall the human race, resulting in society's collapse, because then I could live a blissful existence of roaming, looting and killing. I find nothing worthwhile about humanity's existence at large and would gladly exchange billions of lives for a more visceral existence. I fully admit to caring about myself more than anybody else and holding little concern for the welfare of the countless people I don't know and/or like. I'm sure many of you will find this morally reprehensible, but no amount of fervored response will elicit any change in my views, so save your energy and keep your disgust to yourself.

Kekeke I just have to thank you for this one, since now neither your signature nor your opinions hold any value whatsoever.

why not run oros, the avenger? he's a solid win condition, pyroclasms when you need it, and is in your colors

Ohh, snazzy - I should try him.

    Quote from Bangoo
Nice idea, but as mentionned, the mana base is simply horrible...

Please, please, don't comment on the manabase - I've been working with it for quite a few versions of this deck already, and although it does seem like a pile, its actually both consistent and effective, which leads me to:

    Quote from Bangoo
how can you play prismatic lens and mind stone over coldsteel heart and/or coalition relic in a 3-color deck that certainly have color-fixing problems?

I need the 2-drop artifacts. I may consider swapping the lenses for relics, but there is no chance that the mind stones are going out any time soon. They are both cheap to play, and they draw me cards later on.

    Quote from Bangoo
I'd also remove the 2 forbidding watchtowers, have 2 less Cipt lands will make a difference. Also, i'd advise you drop the grotto.

In all of my testing, it has usually been safe to drop lands 1 and 3 tapped without any reprecussion. In fact, that is what I usually do. Let me emphasize that this deck is a wip, and that the manabase won't be complete until I am satisfied with a final version. I am trying to run the least amount of CIPT and painlands possible. Tower, though, is quite nice as a defensive card, and it forces the opponent to overextend in the midgame, letting me net more guys with sweepers.
The singleton grotto is good - later in the game, if I have any sort of mana issue, it lets me channel an extra land into not loosing life from a painland, which I really don't like to do.

    Quote from Bangoo
And 3 pyroclasm + 3 damnation + 2 void = 8 sweepers? A bit too much if you ask me.

Not in this metagame, it isnt. O_o

    Quote from Bangoo
Maybe add more win conditions instead to increase your chances of drawing them, as you have zero draw.

Again, man, I don't think you understand the concept of this deck. It doesn't go for the "win" as fast as possible, it is an answer to the masses of aggro decks running around today. It isnt going to before turn 10, ever. So don't try and make it do that - it wasn't designed with that in mind.

Speaking of progress, here are a few more changes, plus my first sideboard cards:
    -2 Incinerate
    -2 Prismatic Lens
    -1 Disintergrate
    +2 Lash Out
    +2 Coalition Relic
    +1 Oros
So yeah, relic to test out, oros to test out, and lash outs. Hear me out on the lashes. Almost every time I've used incinerate, its been as point removal. SO i figure, drop the minor utility of burning to the face (not really important in this deck - when I get to the point of being able to use burn to their face, I've won already), for the bonus of clash (since i have no draw, this works out quite well) and the chance to burn and kill.

    And the sideboard so far:
    3 Teferi's Moat

Specifically, this thing rapes against warriors, gobbos, Doran, and kithkin. Warriors and gobbos scoop to this mother every day of the week. Even though kithkin have O-ring, they still have to either overextend into the moat, or wait, esentially making it a 3-4 turn fog that makes them waste a ring. Either way, I get enough time to set up for anything they could do. So I'll be testing this more, and I'll post if this works well.

I think you're over-exaggerating cost differences between rares and uncommons, imo.

I believe that the tutor effect is what makes it rare - its quite powerful. And at uncommon, which makes it much more accesible, you need to cost it so that it can't come into play early on in limited. 6 at LEAST.
That, and I think that the uncommon lords were a huge mistake :/
