So my state's tax free weekend is coming up and some of the items that are tax free make me go "wha?" :

Lingerie
Nightgowns and night shirts
Clearly in the pocket of Big Wedding.
Seeing those items Vela the Night-clad popped in my mind. I am sick.

Putting in an offer on a condo, so I may be joining the ranks of "responsible adults" on this forum. Nice enough location and unit, still horrifyingly expensive (but actually pretty reasonable by San Diego standards).
What I also fail to understand is this: Are there any supporting data that people who are interested in playing MtG for the first time do so by starting with Commander? An eternal and complicated format? Who said this?
On the other hand, if this is aimed for people who know the game mechanics and want to give a go at the format in the age of ''I can find any information in the world on 5 seconds online'' , those players can understand that the manabases are totally suboptimal. I am not even talking about synergies within the decks and hidden mechanics, just that after a certain amount of Magic games it is rather OBVIOUS that it's not cool if the majority of my lands enter tapped because my play is super slow.Casual players are casual, not stupid. No? Am I wrong?
By just seeing the themes, i decided to have bant (at last i get to build enchantress) and jund and my buddy izzet and esper. Thank god he accepted that we tear apart jund and esper and pick singles we like from each deck. Still I don't know if it's worth the price though.
As promised, I am mildly annoyed for not reprinting the Top on a deck that cares on the top (see what i did there) of your library. Lazy deckbuilding at its finest.
I agree that this deck was the obvious place for it, and with the increases price it seemed like they might do it, but to call it "lazy deck building" is just wrong. Putting all the obvious cards in is closer to the definition of lazy. Be more constructive with your critique. Calling it "lazy" is just mean and, well frankly, lazy.
Okay. Apparently it is not that obvious to add cards that provide synergy with the main theme of the deck. That's not lazy in my book. Also I don't see many cards that enable the blink ability of the face card of the deck as well. Also there are 3 zombie related cards supporting the zombie theme of the other commander. As for the Sphinx, at least they managed to add enough odd numbered cards. I guess that's something..
EDIT: Top isn't even critical in making the deck a little more streamlined. Just add more topdeck manipulation
EDIT2: Someone who played commander less than a year can understand that the Jund lands deck is all over the place. Not my fault to feel a little disappointed, since the company hyped the decks with those themes.

Yeah why should they reprint an uncommon from Mercadian Masques? The collectors will rage and roar!
