I have understood the part about the triggers/stack and I do apologize for not clarifying my earlier question. I was thinking what if player 2 did not sac the elemental and Player 1 ended with both Omnath copy and original, how will the Legend rule work on this? To my understanding, both should "die" but Player 1 states he can choose which one dies and which to keep.
Thanks for the replies! Now this brings me to my 2nd question. If Fellhide creates an Omnath copy and Willbender controls the original Omnath, won't they both "die" since they are both Legendary creatures in play at the same time? As far as I recall with the legend rule, no 2 exact same Legendary creatures/planeswalkers can exist at the same time in the same field (except for something like Brothers Yamazaki. Player 1 states he can choose which to one to keep but player 2 states both cancel out each other. So who's right on this one?
On one of our games, we encountered this situation which left us scratching our heads. Here is how it goes:
1. Player 1 has a Fellhide Spiritbinder and a Willbreaker in play. Player 2 has an Omnath, Locus of Rage, Altar of Dementia and a red/green elemental in play.
2.During Player 1's untap step, Fellhide is untapped which triggers Inspired on it. At the same time this also triggers Willbreaker's ability.
3. Player 1 targets Omnath. In response, Player 2 sacrifices the red/green elemental and targets Willbreaker for 3 damage.
4. Player 1 states that he still has control over Omnath regardless of the damage done to Willbreaker, also adds that player 2 cannot sacrifice or activate any ability during the UNTAP STEP/PHASE of Player 1.
5. Player 2 argues that the spells and abilities are on stack. Since Omnath gets targeted by Fellhide, he responds by destroying Willbreaker to prevent Omnath from being taken.
Can I please get some clarifications on this from the judges? This is all leaving us scratching our heads when it comes to response times on stacked abilities/spells.
Thanks for the clarification! I think my last edit did not push through but I'll repost the question anyway.
He also sacrificed a Myriad Landscape to Zuran Orb then states he still gets to search for 2 lands. Is this valid? There is a cost to pay for Myriad Landscape to work but he says otherwise since he is sacrificing the land to Zuran Orb, the land's sac trigger should work.
Hi all, I would like to know if this is legal or not. Played an EDH game with my local play group and one player plays the following:
1. casts Scapeshift, sacrifices 7 lands
2. with Titania, Protector of Argoth in play, gets 7 5/3 elementals
3. searches the deck for 7 lands, puts them into play and gets 7 5/5 elementals thanks to Omnath, Locus of Rage
4. then states he gains 14 life since he has a Zuran Orb in play
Casting player argues that since Scapeshift requires sacrificing lands AND Zuran Orb states gaining life by sacrificing lands, his move is valid. Is this correct? As far as I am aware of (and tried arguing with) is that whatever was sacrificed is meant for whatever card triggered the move. So if sacrificing lands as per Scapeshift, then it is only for Scapeshift. Same goes for Zuran Orb.
What I got for winning a modern tourney at work Deck was pre-constructed before being awarded however it also included other cards. Not sure what to make of it since this is the first time I'm using Zombies. Any suggestions on what to include and remove based on the current deck and included cards?

He also applied the same concept when playing Primal Growth then states Goblin Bombardment triggers as well.
