steven11788, sounds like the 8seas version has been serving you well! Would you be able to share your SB? I haven't been to a tournament with this new list, but have a meta of RG Tron, Delver, Jund, Twin, and some Affinity (was Recall worth the slots?). My current one is much like Nikachus:

    4 Tectonic Edge
    3 Tidebinder Mage
    3 Spell Pierce
    3 Negate
    1 Dispel
    1 Kira, Great Glass-Spinner

Will you be doing another sideboard guide for the Sea's Claim version in the future?

What do you guys think about Chris Andersen's use of 2 Arcbound Workers over Memnite? Despite his finish compared to the other Affinity lists, I was most impressed with how his deck performed in matches during the tournament.

Congrats on the great results Nikachu! Interested in your changes to the SB, did you miss the Relics at anytime? How often did the 4th Dismember and Negates come into play?

What is the game plan against Tron? I run a list similar to the stock list. If I get a good start with an early delve creature or Fulminators it seems possible, but with a resolved Emrakul it doesn't seem like there is much to do. My meta commonly has Twin, Affinity, Delver, Merfolk and RG Tron, the sideboard at the moment is:

    4 Fulminator Mage
    3 Dispel
    2 Anger of the Gods
    1 Countersquall
    1 Languish
    1 Engineered Explosives
    1 Izzet Staticaster
    1 Flashfreeze
    1 Keranos, God of Storms

New elf player here, had a rules question for those who use Phyrexian Revoker with Chord. I understand that you can chord in response to someone casting a Planeswalker but that Revoker but it loses its utility if Planeswalker is in play and the opponent activates an ability since that ability would resolve anyways.

Is it possible to Chord a Revoker in response to an equip? I assume not as the equip would already be on stack, but Revoker would prevent any future changes to what the equipment is attached to. Thanks!

Thanks that makes a lot of sense, do you usually side out lands for the edges? I assume that we remove Mutavaults or another land for them.

EDIT: Consulted Nikachu's sideboard chart, got a better understanding now.

Any other matches where the 4 Tectonic Edges came through? I understand they are useful against Tron but I'm not as familiar with their use elsewhere.

Thanks for the response, definitely the 12-14 sweepers and Wurmcoils on top of it make this very hard preboard. I will try the Beast Within first and see how that goes!

Any tips for the preboard matchup against R/G Tron? Finding it quite difficult with their Planeswalkers, Pyroclasms and O-stones.

Does Phyrexian Revoker help a lot postboard?

ConfusedCactus, any chance you can share your list? I'm thinking of cutting the Kalonian Tuskers down to 2 and adding in 2 Scavenging Ooze and 2 Dungrove Elder (removed 2 Treetop). Kolaghan's Command seems to make Spellskite in this deck a lot worse unfortunately so I'll keep the copies of Kalonian Tusker for now.

Hey everyone, went to my first local tournament since 2006 and have been playing a list very similar to user_369654. I went 2-2, losing against Splintertwin (0-2, I had no idea what I was doing and only after did I figure out that Vines is good) and Abzan (0-2, their creatures just seem to out value mine). I did win against Jund (2-0) and Mono U Tron (2-0). I felt that 3 Treetop Village was often too many, and I was told that I should consider adding in Scavenging Ooze as well as a few Dungrove Elder. Any recommendations? Should I be getting Spellskites to combat Splintertwin? In my meta, I know that there is burn, RG Tron and more Jund. Thanks!
