After playing a lot both Skred versions (Scourge/Koth and now Dragons) I think Dragons is better as we can finish earlier and with all flying creatures. We can't play without at least 3 Relic of Progenitus. The original Dragons sidebord is a mistake.
Draconic Roar seems bad but 2 of them is good. I would play 4 but we can't play without artifact removal main deck otherwise the Aether vial decks outrun our removals. There are also decks using Ensnaring Bridge.
That's it.
would you recommended building dragon skred? im currently on eternal/koth and been enjoying it quite a bit was wondering if its worth buying into dragon skred
I have re-started to play the deck again after playing UW for 2 months (maybe more).
Could someone give me some advice against storm? I felt like the matchup is unwinnable today and I haven't seen the deck too much in my local store; so I lack a sense of when should I crack the relic or surgical something. (most useful sb against them I'm using: relic, surgical, grafdigger's cage and nimble obstructionist, also with the usual 4 contortions)
Also, I bought a crucible and I plan to use it in SB, at least against UW control it seems useful, but it can also be used to destroy manabases. I'll use it with a tectonic in SB, could anyone tell me the type of matchups where you definitely need to side them in?
does anyone have a guide or match up sideboarding?
I'm working on this, but I just moved and college is starting soon so this may take longer than I thought. What matchups do you have questions about?
u/w control seems to be pretty hard vizier humans elves and jund arent too bad but i played against u/w control and basically did nothing just wondering what to do
Gx tron is by far the most popular tron deck out there and it doesn't really compare to mono U tron which is very much a niche deck in the format. The gameplans of the 2 decks are not similar at all. Gx tron seeks to asemble tron asap and slam a Karn Liberated on turn 3 to take over the game. Mono U tron plays more like a control deck that extends the game through counterspells and other interaction, and wins in the lategame due to an unfair mana advantage and big threats. The nut draw of natural tron into turn 3 wurmcoil and turn 4 ugin is possible but highly unlikely in this deck.
Gx tron has a very linear gameplan whereas mono U tron has complex decision trees regarding when and how to interact, aswell as which threats/answers to tutor for. I think that is what draws people to the blue version over the green version. The green version though, is undeniably a highly efficient and effective deck.
If you are interested in Gx tron there is a dedicated thread concerning the deck on the modern forum. Happy deckbuilding
Thanks! at first i really wanted a linear deck because i already have storm and skred red but now that i think about id probably enjoy this more!
Hi all I'm looking to build a tron deck ik green tron seems to be the best right now but I was just wondering if that is the best to buy into. I'd love to hear eh you love this Deck
I just started playing modern and this is the deck I choose. I'm not by any means a good magic player and my lgs has decently experienced guys who have been playing for years. I generally go 1-3 due to my lack of experience but I can still take games of them (usually the second game) . Every game I play I notice things I could've done in order to come out ahead, I just didn't think of them in that moment. Watching Caleb provides a ton of tricks that I have used in games but I still forget a ton of them due to my inexpensive. It's a really fun deck just hard to play. I'd recommend the deck but you are in for a steep learning curve.
im looking to build this deck as my second deck coming from gifts storm my meta is heavy jund, affinity,UW contol, deaths shadow, and 1 ad nauseam. what is a decklist i could refer to?
