Personally, I would love the un lands in the tenth. They could still use the art we picked, just make all of the basic lands full art cards. Truthfully there isn't a reason not to. They took the reminder text off of lands a while ago, so they should just put full art on them, like they did with the vanilla creatures from future sight.
there's a thread on this deck on like 5-6 pages, its named "turn on tune in drop out" or something. it's a great deck i looooove to play it (:
Wow, I can't believe someone still plays my deck! I made that thread a looong time ago.
Anyways, I played locket of yesterdays and whispers of the muse in my build. The lockets were great later in the game, making acid cost U, you could wipe their half of the board in one turn. And with whispers you could dig deep this the buyback. They were a lot of good ideas thrown around in that thread I would check it out.
I have a deck sort of like this. Lots of card draw and plenty of fat to swing with.
@Amaterasu - I believe the idea is to have teferi in play and flash braids into play at EOT so you get the first use.
My suggestion would be to play a few more paradox haze, play 4 mystical teachings, and drop anything you cant hard cast in case of Extirpate and friends.
They can still make birds if they have any instants lying around (as those can be cast during the upkeep or on your turn). However, until they pop out a Bogardan Hellkite, the lock makes sure they don't attack with those birds.
Not with Teferi in play, which is what I meant by lock. They cant play spells period, anytime, at any speed. they cant play spells or respond to them, so they never get to make any birds.
Dovescape is interesting...you say it works well? could you post results? I've been screwed over so many times with dovescape because they overpower me with their birds.
That's the best part....they can't make birds. Once the lock is in place, they can't play spells to make birds with.
When I get a chance, I will post some results on here. Unfortunately I don't get to play alot of top teir decks lately, but I will give you guys what I can get.
list looks good, but why the Aethermages and dovescape?
I knew someone would ask. At first it was just because I had dovescape sitting in my binder unused. But it actually has really good synergy with Magus of the Moat, and the rest of the deck. Akroma is my only real finisher, but with the lock in place dovescape will kill faster than she will. At first it was kind of a goofy joke, but it turned out to be really good in this kind of deck. The opponent can't play anything because of the lock, which is uninterupted because no spells are played to maintain the lock, and we can make a load of tokens from it. Plus it costs 6 to play instead of 8.
The AEthermages are there to get Teferi and the Magus ( or mindcensor) through wizardcycling.
By the way, I updated my list above to include new cards.

As for ideas, maybe Emblem of the Warmind in case they extirpate you pandimonium or something, or have ivory mask.
For your list, maybe add Mortify for some removal, and a few Loxodon Warhammer to gain life and give husk trample.
