ok... im back from being away on holiday (i did tell you guys... i think... maybe i forgot) ... and i found something in my email... unfortunately
Hi zoombinimatt,
We regret to inform you that the server crashed due to a hard disk failure. Unfortunately the hard disk is completely corrupted causing all data to be lost. We have replaced the hard disk with a new one. Your account has been recreated and should be working again. Our sincere apologies for all problems caused.
not good news at all... now... the webhost DID automatically back everything up (so i didnt personally) but that was screwed up too. I can reinstall the forum and all, but I kinda agree with people maybe we should start something else. I probably shouldve backed everything up (and definitely will from now on) so im sorry this happened, especially to lord moo who lost a great story.
BTW even after this i still would like to keep going with R&D, although i might not post all the time due to being in my last year of school.
sorry guys i really dont have time to judge now (were leaving to go on holidays in about 15 mins). itll be about a month until i can access the site again so you might want to find a different judge and ill rejoin if needed when i come back.
It has been fun judging and just flicking through there are some cool ideas here but i gtg.
Gleemaxify {cost} (Whenever a spell or ability targets <this>, you may pay {cost}. If you do, you may remove that spell or ability from the stack and make a copy of it. Until end of turn, you may play that copy for free.)
just a silly new gleemax thing, but it would fit in with the clan theme... kinda
Sorry i havent replied ive been really busy this weekend, but heres the judgings:
Card One
Evolutionary Woods
Land
Evolutionary Woods comes into play tapped. T: Add G to your mana pool. T, Sacrifice Evolutionary Woods: Put a token into play that's a copy of target land.
The Selesnya endeavor to preserve the woods, the Simic are more interested in evolving them.
Card Two

Instant
Replace "sacrifice" in an activation cost with "tap" until end of turn. (Redundant tap symbols are ignored.)
Whenever you sacrifice a permanent, you may pay 1 . If you do, return Selesnya Preservation from your graveyard to your hand.
While the Simic believe survival is ensured through evolution, the Selesnya contend survival is ensured through preservation.
Card One
Originality: 9/10 fairly cool but non-creature tokens have been suggested a number of times so it isnt completely new.
Balance/Playability: 9/10 all good, although abilities like this could combo easily and being a land it would be easy to get in.
Name/Flavor: 7/10 cool but I dont like the flavour too much as it should be a forest and there are almost no woods on rav anyway.
Round conditions: -0
Design standards: -0
Card One Total: 25/30
Card Two
Originality: 10/10 very cool. I cant think of any card really like this.
Balance/Playability: 6/10 really this could make things like husks/fallen angels very big, especially with shambling shells too.
Name/Flavor: 8/10 With only this card, the reference to evolution would be confusing at best because the simic arent really known for sacrificing things. otherwise its good.
Round conditions: -0
Design standards: -1 the replacement effect is a little wierd like eledin said.
Card Two Total: 23/30
Both Cards:
Mechanic: 2/5 they work well together, but arent an instant infinite combo. With cloudpost it can be great, but otherwise its a waste of the second card.
Flavour: 2/5 I can see how the flavour texts tie in, but when you combine the effects, it doesnt work with the flavour very well.
Legend and home: Yeah +1
Team 1's Overall Total: 53/70

Originality: 8/10 nothing really new.
Balance/Playability: 8/10 obviously for a combo, although 4 cost 1/1s generally arent great.

Round conditions: -0

Card Two Total: 24/30
Both Cards

Absolutionis
Flavour 3/5 i dont get the eot or instant abilities in flavour...
originality 4/5 the instant creature is cool but you didnt do enough with it.
templating 4/5 wouldnt it have made more sense to make it deal 1 damage to everything (period) so it shows the instant bit more?
balance 3/5 a bit too good
colour pie/round req 5/5 works fine

Instant Creature - Dragon Zombie
(Instant creatures may be played any time you can play an instant and count as both an instant and creature.)
Flying, Haste
When Spitfire Drake comes into play, it deals 1 damage to each creature and each player.
At the end of turn, return Spitfire Drake to your hand or pay 2 life.

Sharda
Flavour 4/5 hehehe funny. but not subtle enough
originality 5/5 very new and cool
templating 3/5 too much stuff. also the deals damage to you only works if you control it anyway...
balance 0/5 way too good. what does 2r, pay 1 life: draw 3 cards say to you?
colour pie/round req 5/5 it would be very suprising to have your opponent give you a creature...
17/25
Creature - Human Spy
Espionage 2B (2B, Return an unblocked attacker an opponent controls to hand: Put this card into play from your hand under that opponents control tapped and attacking.
Whenever ~ deals damage to you, you may draw 3 cards.
2U: The owner of ~ gains control of it. Any player may play this ability.
2R: ~ deals 1 damage to target creature or player
"So Karlek, you think the enemy is gonna try anything?.... Wait, you're not Karlek!" - Gorbud, last words.

Krey:
Flavour 3/5 i dont really like it that much...
originality 3/5 its like a more specialised channel. kinda cool though
templating 4/5 it doesnt seem quite right... target creature creature?
balance 4/5 seems well balanced, but it probably wouldnt get played
colour pie/round req 5/5 fine
19/25
Creature - Spirit Warrior
Fear, Haste
Infuse WBR: Target creature creature gains Fear and Haste and +1/+2 (You may play this card as an Instant targeting an attacking creature, if that creature is still in play at the end of turn remove the targeted creature from play and place this card under that creature owner's control)
