That Cromat was made into an illusion but not an elemental really stings (and I know they did it just to spite me).

    I has sads.
I have to replace so many cards. In so many decks.
I don't like any of these changes.

I don't understand. Just because he hasn't done any cards yet means that he can't do any magic art?
Looks good to me, I hope they use it.

I've never been able to EDH with 0 lands. I have built several decks with very few lands but absolutely no lands
    imo wouldn't do much.
You'd have to be in 5 colors and run every rock, ritual, spirit guide, and free to cast spell you could find and even if you pulled it off your opponents kill you easily with Null Rod or Trinisphere or Pyrostatic Pillar or any number of easy to splash one ofs that hose your strategy. I don't believe you'd ever beat the same player twice.

Right. So the cards represent the lore. They support the story. You don't just ignore them because they kill your hero.

You can not take the lore over the cards and assume Goku just wins.
In the books, from his abditory, Yawgmoth was at a god level above PW level and his entire plane was wiped out by Pernicious Deed

  • posted a message on [[Official]] What is the most pimp card/deck you've seen or owned? (SEE RULES!)
Back before they restricted Contract from Below in 5-color
the pimpest deck I ever owned was a fully powered 5-color 3,2,1 deck complete with chaos orb, ravages of war, duals, fetches, jeweled birds, mox crystal, Frankie, the whole enchilada. Everything was either beta, foil, or heavily altered. When that format lost it's appeal in my area I sold it for four grand which was a great price at the time but I still beat myself up over it now. The reason it was so pimp to me is that every card was won; either as an ante or tournament prize (with the exception of a Mox Emerald from a garage sale and an Isamaru+Chaos Orb from a fist fight) back in the day.

For the record, I didn't start that fight, and I don't condone violence, but if you're going to play an expensive format for ante, you can't be a sore loser. You know who you are.

After I got banned from a trading site for not sending 2x Story Circle (which I shipped twice 2x MM, and then 2x 8th+throw ins) my reputation was ruined and I quit playing all together and have never been able to reconstruct a collection of even 10% comparable value.

I don't think I'll ever own power, workshops, mana drains, etc again.

  • posted a message on Sharing cards among commander decks
You can sleeve all the decks in the same color and get some colored sharpies and put a small dot on each card in shared decks. This way, when you have only 97 cards in a blue deck you can quickly find the two cards with blue dots on the sleeve. The front obviously as to not mark the back of any sleeves.

You can print proxy and slip the papers on top of some lands or something and keep a binder of all the cards in multiple decks.

Which commander did you settle for?
The ratio could be vastly different depending on which colors you choose, which tutors you can grab the wipes with, etc.
Are you going the sliver route?
That and Child of Alara need the fewest as you're going to have lots of tutor access to toolbox the whole deck and plenty of options for recurring them from the yard.

White decks can enlightened tutor the o stones, nev disks, etc
Black has tons of tutors too.
Red has some tricks like Slobad + Disk every turn.
If you choose Zurgo you could play as many or as few as you want and still find them all day.
I'd probably run all the wraths that make creatures like Kirtar's Wrath and Phyrexian Rebirth because after each wrath you're going to have creatures on board even when you don't have your commander.
I'd probably run kaldra equipment too because indestructible, and also makes a dude. Also combos with Ashnod's Altar for infinite mana which could fuel bigX finishers.

I feel about the same way. Most of the time I would not run this card. If however I kept losing to the same strategy I'd find a hoser. Not a lot of options at instant speed that also replace themselves in other match ups.
I still don't think it is a bad suggestion.
What's the green enchantment that gives graveyards shroud?
    That could work too maybe.

These are great suggestions. I came here to offer the same advice.
For the sake of adding something new, Repopulate
Is a cheap instant that you could cycle against nonreanimator that could put toolbox creatures back into your deck in a pinch.
