I like this deck, but was thinking you might consider adding other artifact creatures. vault skirge for example. This would work well with energy chamber, and then proliferate.
I have an animated blinkmoth nexus my opponent takes control of it using vedalken shackles. On his turn if he keeps the shackles tapped he retains control of the land.
An opponent I had thought that he could tap the shackles and then once the Blinkmoth de-animates, he could untap the shackles and he would still control the land. I argued to the opposite, that as soon as the shackles untap, they no longer control the permanent.
So I wrote to Matt Tabak regarding the two conflicting rulings listed for the tablet. He wrote back first thing today.
Hi Brian,
It looks like the rules team in 2004 was interpreting Bronze Tablet and Timmerian Fiends as exchanges, meaning they'd have to still be on the battlefield when their abilities resolved in order to take effect. In 2008, they took a more literal stance on the printed text and interpreted them not as exchanges.
It's unlikely we'd go back and revisit the Oracle of ante cards, but I can take a look at clearing up the associated rulings for the next update.
I wanted to write you regarding the rulings in oracle for Bronze Tablet. A ruling on 10/4/2004 that states that if the tablet is not on the battlefield for resolution, nothing happens, but the ruling on 8/1/2008 states that it still goes through the process of exchange.
It would seem that the ruling should be consistent with the card Timmerian Fiends. I am not certain why both cards would not have only the later ruling.
City of brass is an excellent card in affinity, the damage you take from it doesn't hurt until the late game, where affinity normally loses to control decks anyway.

Which interpretation is accurate?

Is this something that could be cleared up?
