Lich's Mirror + Donate (on Lich's Mirror) + 10 poison counters (on opponent) = Opponent constantly losing the game, replaced with the mirror's instructions. Game becomes a draw.
Doesn't work.
You have ten or more poison counters. Lich's Mirror doesn't remove poison counters. If you'd lose the game this way, you'll do what Lich's Mirror says, then you'll lose the game the next time state-based actions are checked.
Also, a 3 Oblivion ring is not necesarily an tie-causing infinite combo, as you could always target something else. If one of the o-rings is destroyed in response, for example.
Apparently they are all from the same case, but since we only bought 4 I couldn't really tell which is which (from 1 to 6).

One foil Hallowed Fountain makes up for the rest of the slightly below the curve box.
Coincidence or pattern hint that you opened a foil Dreadbore and a foil Pithing Needle in one box like I did?
Honestly? Not sure, but knowing a bit about semi-randomized processes doesn't sound likely to be entirely coincidence. As far as I understand, foils have a pattern that differs from the rest of the cards in a group of boosters.
I'm hoping to learn a bit more about box mapping to know exactly what to expect, hence why I am providing as much info as possible.
Now, we just opened a fat pack and got a really horrible deal: 2x Chaos Imps, 2x Palisade Giant, 2 Death's Presence, 2 Collective Blessing and one Growing ranks. I honestly don't know if reporting that to Wizards, since 4 repeats in one single Fat Pack sounds like an anomaly... But I wouldn't know exactly how.
Here's our first box. Opened in Costa Rica, box appears to be US made (as per the description given a couple pages ago). Foils in parentheses, disregarding rarity. Mythics bolded.

And where do you suppose Niv-Mizzet's "Distant palace" really IS, if Rakdos destroys the city? Or to clarify the question, how distant? like, OUT-OF-PLANE distant? as far as i know, only the dead cannot escape Ravnica. But don't take my word for it. I wanna know if Niv-Mizzet is a planeswalker....lol
~Lil Kalki
I think that people started showing so much love for The Firemind (myself included), that they decided not to kill him off (I think Cory stated the original plan was that he died fighting the nephilim), so he could return later. I'm up for him returning as planeswalker, because (spoilers here)
all of a sudden no Izzet could feel him, or The Firemind itself (remember all Izzet were sort of conencted through it), nor find him. He vanished from the place. It is possible that he 'walked out (for which no spark is actually necessary if you know a way out of a plane, see black myojin), as the "planeswalking block" ended when the Guildpact broke in that stupid paradox, it was part of the pact (citation on this?).
What I'm beginning to see as widely accepted:
-She's a 'walker, not necessarily Vess.
-The story she tells to Rhys differes from what we saw in the prologue, so most likely they're not the same 'Maralen'.
-The late 'Maralen' (the strange one, even in smell according to Rhys) says she knows everything about The Blessed, and in the final lines of the porologue we see the first Maralen (the elf captured by the strange vines) is questioned and much to her affliction answers all questions. So, someone that took her place fits in here.
-She specifically and blantantly says she's "a traveler" on chapter 14 (I think), and we all know the only thing that can mean.
We still are missing a lot of information, so we can only base ourselves on this info we have so far. No one knows more than you do, all we can do is recap.
A point I haven't seen discussed (or for that matter, even metioned):
Even Rhys states it's very convenient that Maralen says her party was raided by goblins when they meet. We know that's not the case. I'm thinking there are acutally two Maralens: a captive elf whose brains have been pickled to no end, and a "traveler" (which we know what means exactly) displaying very weird things, weird even for Faeries.
There's even one more detail to see here: Rhys says Maralen is very different, and as far as I remember our second Maralen is not even described to have horns... Something very weird, even for a 'fat elf', and another evidence to her being a 'walker, in my opinion, which I also agree is blatantly said. "I'm a traveler and I'm lost"? C'mon, it's the only possible thing. That's out of discussion.
Seeing as they're played on every existing format, I don't think thie price will be that much affected when they rotate out. They might even be left over $20.
And to think I traded my prerelease one when it was still $5...
My guess: it's a 7/7 for 4 that Brion loves to fling.
So, lemme see... Equippedrazorbackflinged to opponent for 9 damage (plus 9 life), put Hellkite into play for 5 more. I like it.
Doesn't work.

Hope that's helpful. I will be updating by next week with 4 more boxes.

Incremental growth is now a more worthy pick with these new cards.

EDIT: the only real problem is I see too many alternate wincons. You got the Renewal/deathrender engine, PLUS Brion/razorback as finisher, PLUS Hellkites, PLUS Akroma... I'd drop the Akroma (as much as it pains) for a fourth Brion.
Very, my friend. Very.
:thumbsup:Peace.
