Call the Bloodline. It's an amazing madness enabler.
And I've decided to try my hand at one of these B/R Madness Vamp decks. I'm doing U/W Spirits but hey, if the guys that said they were doing B/R don't then I sure will.
My version is really similar to the one Ionius uses but, as you can see, there are different numbers of things. I didn't think more than a 2 of Avacyn's Judgement was necessary.
Maybe, I'm also not convinced that Behind the Scenes is good enough for this deck though. Every creature already has evasion besides Anafenza and Reflector Mage.
That's kind of what I was thinking. The times when something needs flying AND skulk to get through are probably gonna be pretty few and far between. I'd either use that slot for some good black removal or for Always Watching. The +1/+1 is always on and vigilance is pretty nice.
I realized I misread Pale Rider the first time, didn't realize it makes you discard, not them lol. In that case black might not be worthwhile, hell that'll make the manabase much simpler.
I'm thinking we'd probably want to replace the one apothecary geist with a second Tower Geist. (I agree, it looks like a much better card for the 4 mana spot)
I also think we'd want a second Erdwal Illuminator.
I haven't decided what else to add. So far though, this seems like what we've come up with (Maybe add a 4 set of Just the Wind and then add the mana base? Or perhaps a 2 or 3 set of Apothecary Geist)
Greetings. I have been looking at cards that may fit into a Spirits deck for standard. I was going to do B/R Madness but we have 4 guys doing that (geez) so, after looking at the beautiful spirits, I've decided to attempt something. obviously, the deck is not finished. I wish to keep some slots open for incase we get more goodies.
At 20 cards so far. (Planning on doing 22 lands which will leave me with 18 slots available.)
Any ideas or comments are welcome. (Lands aren't determined yet.)
I have a thing where I buy a box of a new set and then 1 pack of cards a week. Then when I'm making a deck and don't have the cards for it I limit myself to about 25 dollars to purchase things with.
I guess that doesn't really count as a budget deck though.
ANYWAYS. IF that Thing in the Ice card ends up really expensive I'm going to facepalm so hard.

Maybe - Blessed Spirits - will depend on other enchantments
