Bloodghast can't block, otherwise it would be one of the most retarded cards in T2 right now. Jund would be killing themselves with their own Putrid Leeches. It would prevent 2-3 damage against Bushwhacker every turn, with potential of trading, if they don't have a path.

    I thought Antti Malin's Faeries went 3-3, not 2-3-1.

If you're playing 4 Sedraxis Specter, you should be playing 4 Rotting Rats too. They go up in strength with the other. If I were you, I would just play that guys list who was playing at worlds, with possible minor sideboard edits and -1 Ponder, +1 Monstrous Carabid.

You can kind of compare Jund to Affinity in the terms of why everyone would play it. Sometimes the best deck is just the best deck. Besides, Jund had a lot of variants to make it better against certain matches and mirrors and such. The GW or GW/u decks with Emeria Angel seemed do really well at worlds though. I was a little surprised at the 2 Naya decks top 8, but then I saw that they did better in Extended and Draft then standard.

As for me and states, I have no idea if I'm even going. I would probably play the GW/x decks or the Unearth deck or WUR control.

Cyclers and Tome Scour really help against that. Also, if you saw all the decks being played at worlds, GW/x and Jund decks are doing well, specifically Jund with Rampant Growth. Jund has an inconsistent mana base, making crab killings less likely, + you often don't play it without a fetch the same turn. GW/x has practically no disruption. There are other decks, but his version is actually really good against the majority of decks. Sedraxis Specter + Rats in his version really help a lot of match-ups that might not have been as easy before.

That truly is the best version of the deck I have seen. I give it 3 thumbs up. Immortal Coil, Blister Beetle, and Spreading Seas are nice SB tech. I had been thinking about Sedraxis Specters in the main, but I didn't test it with Tome Scours. Much better with Tome Scours over Traumatize. I probably would have gone with the 4th Monstrous Carabid over the 1 Ponder, but that is me.

Stupid Cascade and Elves. Those 2 decks made Jund put Ruinblaster and Jund Charm in their sideboards. It pretty much killed this deck. Keep on the look out though. If they ever decide to stop sideboarding those cards because the meta-game changes, then this may be the deck to play.

Kind of depends on the rest of the pack. I mean, how many other good green or white cards are in the pack? If you're talking about a vacuum pick, the Oracle helps more in creating ridiculous decks. Card advantage and multiple land drops make for some crazy landfall triggers. The Shepherd is good in a mid-range or slower deck. He's only ok in an aggressive deck because of his cost.

Hey, that isn't fair. She actually got her revenge. He's hated by the music industry now and there is even a country song about him being a dick.

    Also, nice reference Nova Chaser.

There are 2 Crypt Combo threads. 1 is for more controlling, which your deck would fall into, and there is UB combo version utilizing Crabs and Extractor Demons. You should look at those threads.

Let me be clear, it has to be the really fast aggro decks. Both of those decks have a variety of versions based on their meta-game. Most are going more mid-range to be able to stand a chance against Jund and Bushwhacker and RDW. Against those versions, this deck has no problem. However, if they're going a faster route themselves, like Vampires with Lacerator, Dismember or Doom Blade, then depending on their draw it can be an issue. Same with WW, if they have a fast draw with Path and 1 drops and possibly an Honor of the Pure, then it can be an issue, but if they're going slower with Conqueror's Pledge and/or Baneslayer Angel, then they will have issues.

WW and Vampires don't usually win until 5th or 6th turn at the earliest anyway. I think WW can technically win on turn 4, but Vampires can't. Vampires just have a few disruption tools that could become an issue if they are playing them. Bushwhacker and RDW have a pretty consistent turn 4-5 win without disruption, which this deck doesn't have. I am just saying that even WW and Vampires is a little bit worse of a match then compared to Jund or Naya or a few other mid-range decks, because they have at least consistent speed, where Jund and Naya are kind of random on how fast they will be or what disruption tools they will have.

The deck is powerful against Jund. They're just too slow with no effective disruption tools. They have to get a Putrid Leech and kill any crabs you play early on. However, if they're one of the few versions playing Jund Charm, it is much more difficult. That is only about 5-10% of the Jund decks though.

In the end, the deck isn't good against fast decks with fast removal. Mono-Red, Bushwhacker Aggro, Vampires with Disfigure, WW. Its a pretty even match against Elves, they don't have reliable early removal for Crab and they're slightly slower. Nissa Revene can be a problem if they gain life, but even so, you might be able to mill them out with Extractor Demon. The deck is good against RWU Luminarch.

Pretty much, this is the deck to play if its all mid-range and control decks where you play. If its all speedy aggro decks, this isn't a good choice. Also, I think the deck needs Traumatize. It is sometimes overkill if you already have an active crab, but you can't rely on an active crab. People will catch on and kill it.

Sedraxis Specter is actually a good option if you want even more sideboard against control. You'd adjust the mana base a little to play 4 Scalding Tarns and 1 Mountain, but that is barely a change. Problem is that it doesn't help against mid-range or aggro decks. It might be better then Negate, but at the same time maybe not. I'd rather have Negate against Jund in case they have Jund Charm, but Sedraxis Specter seems like a better option if they're playing Luminarch or Cascade. Unless Cascade decides to play Jund Charm too, probably more likely then even Jund playing it, and if that is the case, I'd rather have Negate again. So, I'd only play Specter over Negate if you have a lot of standard typical UW control styles, like RWU Luminarch, or Esper control, or even Grixis control, which is a really weird meta-game right now, although an amazing one to be playing this deck if it is. Now you could play them both, but only way I see that possible is if you find a way to stick some Specters main.

The deck can win on turn 3 technically. Island Crab, Crab Crypt mill yourself 6, fetch land mill yourself 12, unearth 4 extractor demons. But that requires getting 12 black creatures out of 18 cards, 4 of them Extractor Demons. Very unlikely. Or 13 with 3 Extractor Demon and 2 Viscera Dragger. Or 12 again with 2 Extractor Demon, 3 Viscera Dragger, and them using 1 fetch land.

I don't know if i should be offended, but i am not. Smile

I usually don't "troll" and that was not my intention, i apologize if you took it that way.

I wasn't meaning to offend you, I just hate posts not saying anything.

Also, I think a BU version of the deck might be possible, might even be better then a lot of the other versions. It fits very well into the end of turn style of the deck, as well as it gets Esper Sojourners, which is kind of ridiculous for untapping crypt or tapping one of their creatures to avoid damage while drawing a card. This version is just theory right now, not fine tuned.

Didn't bother with the lands, because its pretty much like the RB lands. It could probably use mass removal, but I wanted to test it with the EoT style, but I'm in a hurry right now.

Congrats Mr. Troll. You managed to miss the entire point to be able to post answers for Identity Crisis. The problem was, I already mentioned Duress, Mind Shatter is unreliable for hitting Identity Crisis, and Thought Hemorrhage for it is a waste for a 2-3 sideboard card that might be barely in 50% of the control decks that can even play it in their sideboard.

With your second part, the only BR version that has been posted with Terminate was the one right before you posted. Convenient Mr. Troll? Now, it is good that you posted it anyway, since Terminate is a card that definitely deserves to be in the BR version, either through MD or SB. I was referring to the BR decks that were already on the forum when I made my post, and I should have been more clear on that. Now, with Fleshbag Marauder, it is a way to kill Baneslayer Angel and Ob Nixilis, the Fallen, but once again if you read my post you would see that I said "well placed" which could either mean having another creature out, or have already forced you to use your removal on earlier creatures, making it less likely to be able to use it.

So, next time you make a post, instead of just putting cards with a ? behind them, tell your reasons why behind it. It just shows that you only cared about selfishly proving somebody wrong, instead of caring enough to show why that person may or may not be wrong, which could result in people actually learning and getting some useful insight out of a post. So, please don't do that anymore, Mr. Troll, Aka: ThiS2Vi.
