Not to mention FTV's have always been known to be THE product that almost never gets sold at MSRP. It doesn't surprise me if they only go with a "booster only" style of selling stuff and only leave the on DD per block to help sell it.
Last I checked it was never the purpose to have those sold at MSRP. Wizards themselves described it as a gift to the shops for working with them throughout the year.
I also miss the old ways of doing them too (as threads instead of front page articles). Maybe we could create a subforum for those threads so that the forum doesn't look as messy.
Messy compared to being basically dead instead? Lets face it those threads generated activity in here which are now more or less gone.
I had completely forgotten that this site did tallies any more till pierrebai posted, guess I am going to forget it again in a few days though as I don't really visit the front page when there isn't discussion to back it up.
Collecting five promos per release was enough of a hassle (not to mention rather oppressive to actual prerelease play), and now they have FORTY promos?!
Might as well they just print a mirror set for Prerelease use only in special Prerelease-only boosters if they get this far.
I wouldn't really call these promos as all they got is a time stamp.
Maro's concerns about the Diamonds didn't apply to Coldsteel Heart, as he was concerned about decks being able to play 8+ of them in Standard.
I think this is key here. A two-colour deck that doesn't run green would have access to 8 ramp-spells. With Keyrunes, such a deck would only have 4.
Nevertheless, I cannot see that this cycle is so absolutely overpowered that they couldn't fit them in with a little bit of work. Perhaps the environment needs a bit of extra ramp..? A set named "Dragons of Tarkir" could be expected to have a lot of dragons, which could mean that not all of them are red. And if they make a set around Dragons, they would likely want those dragons to show up in tournament play, and so players need the tools to be able to cast them.
Actually with keyrunes they could have 28 mana "ramp-spells" if they don't care about the creature activation. Since you are more or less pointing out that they only need one of the colours to be a match, with what they play, as you compare them to the diamonds.

They are more likely to do something there has a whole cycle.
It was around 1½ shock in each box from what I can recall of threads from around that time.
Just a minor question, wouldn't that be preprinting? Since the Relics was before it actually got released.

Boon Satyr is a creature spell, and Ascendancy wont trigger from it as it says non-creature spells.
They could have used "Simian" as creature type instead as that covers both.

As for the PC version then that works better with the controls so far, as I've only briefly gotten around to playing it a little yesterday.
Clash packs are all standard legal cards, the duel decks aren't.
Is this what you are asking for?

Don't you mean vampire angel? The +1/+1 is a classic Sengir Vampire ability.
