I just realized you can blank an opposing Sulfuric Vortex; not completely irrelevant!
If you target an opposing Sulfuric Vortex, then you are giving the opponent 2 life. When it triggers on their upkeep, the damage is prevented, but when it comes back to your turn, the Kiora shield is gone, so you'll still get hit by it.
Aside from that, I'll try her out in my cube when she comes out since UG ramp is a popular archetype to draft in my cube.
I started way back in The Dark, and I typically prefer the new frame. I only prefer the old frame based on artwork, or if the card is foil. Old frame foils compared to new frame foils are far superior. 7th Edition BoP and *** compared to 8th Edition for example.
For "Heavy Hitter" you have to play the Mossbridge Troll and enchant it with Instill Energy. Then, play the Forest, Quirion Ranger, and Khalni Hydra. When the opponent starts using the Trap Nooses to tap your big guys, use them to activate the troll's pump ability. After all the Nooses have been used up, untap the troll with the Instill Energy, untap the Primalcrux with the Ranger, tap Primalcrux to pump the troll again, attack with the troll, then Berserk it.
Even though I like Ancient Tomb and look forward to getting a foil new border version for my collection, it's slightly disappointing for me because I already have a few so I don't particularly need them, and seeing that in the spoiler list reduces the odds that we'll get Wasteland in slot #15. Think about it logically... There's only space for fifteen cards in this set, and there are so many sets and non-basic lands that chances are Wotc wouldn't fill up two of fifteen slots with Tempest reprints (especially since wasteland has also already seen reprinting). If they do include wasteland in this set,. not only will I buy four copies of this set, I'll be so shocked that I'll literally eat a shockland (most likely a godless shrine since that's the only one which I have more than four copies of :)).
I run 40 foil unhinged lands of each basic, so my basics are now worth around $4000-$5000. I got them a few years ago when they were in the single digits each. Knowing that my basics are worth that much, I'm really wondering now what my entire cube is worth, since its mostly foiled out now.
Seems like a monoblue Venser to me. A + ability that can protect itself, a so-so middle ability, and an ultimate with no immediate board impact that can gradually give you card advantage.
Even though Maze of Ith has a judge promo, I don't see that keeping it from being in a FtV set. Balance and Sol Ring had judge promos before they printed them in FtV: Exiled and Relics.

Figure of Destiny was in Modern Masters and they just reprinted it again in Heroes Vs Monsters.
Mutavault was confirmed in Friday's article on WotC's site.
Just because one card from Tempest has been spoiled doesn't mean there won't be another card from Tempest in it. They have already spoiled 2 cards from Future Sight (Grove of the Burnwillows and Dryad Arbor) and 2 cards from Champions of Kamigawa in it (Boseiju, Who Shelters All and Forbidden Orchard).
I did that too.
I don't trade stuff out of my cube either unless it is a regular version of a card I am trading away to get a foil version.
