The question becomes, what are they going to do with all those mint condition Libraries, Voids, and Gwyns... Toss 'em in a fire? How far does their moral resolve go with regard to releasing them into the wild?

I believe this is the first card with a 1GGGG mana cost.

I wonder if the MDFC will be planeswalkers, with one side being Rowan and the other side being Will. So far, with the exception of a lone planeswalker deck Rowan, they've always been together via partner or on the same card.

If you're going to sharpie a basic as a placeholder, at the very least please use a land that does not match the color of your deck. E.g. It's utter nonsense for a mono-black deck to use Swamp marked as a Guardian Beast (or whatever). Use a Plains or something else so there's no way for anyone to potentially misunderstand the board state. Even better, use white boarder lands if you don't use them otherwise - anything to aid in indicating that one of these things is not like the others.

Are you referring to just recent times, like since they went to the one block Standard?

Because Dragon's Maze and Gatecrash don't refer to the plane.

They couldn't use the term "mana cost" because it's already in use. It means the cost as written in the upper corner of the card.

Tempest Standard (Mirage & Tempest blocks) - My favorite set of all time is Mirage, and my favorite deck of all time is Prosperous Bloom, so this standard holds a sentimental spot. The White Weenie deck from this standard is also spectacular. I still occasionally watch the '98 US Nationals VHS tape I got at the Urza's Saga pre-release. It never gets old seeing Mike Long get Abeyanced by Matt Linde.

This could be interesting in High Tide.

Perhaps they will have planeswalker team cards. Like all of the Gatewatch represented on a single card, or smaller groups/pairs (e.g. "Jace and Chandra, Ignite the Mind"). That would allow them to squeeze more walkers onto cards, though the type lines would be a mess.

I don't know how fair it is to blame Quality Control - are they supposed to review and be aware of all fan art just in case something like this happens? that doesn't seem reasonable. Certainly it's unfortunate for everyone involved, but the blame falls on the artist in this case, pretty squarely.
