Tomb Raider is kind of a dead IP in my mind so I'm a little surprised they'd go for it. Then again they did Ponies again. They really could just throw anything out there at this point. Garbage Pail Kids? Rygar? The Rolling Stones?
Yeah, I can't wait for the Pee-wee's Playhouse Secret Lair.
Stalactite/catalyst: I should inform right now you need to load up your counterspells to protect this your opponents will never ever let you keep that in play. (Because I’m pretty sure we’re gonna see cards like time warp, expropriate, (discarded on purpose) Rise of the eldrazi, and Storm Herd or a few examples of being exiled to craft this.)
You can only craft it with red cards, so unless a Painter's Servant is also in play, none of those will be used.
For anyone who is still building decks with waaayyy less than I have (stating a number here is irrelevant), this could be a decent option for a blue/white enchantment deck. I would just suggest playing w/ a lot of cards w/ flash and to take advantage of the cost reduction and I'd play w/ a lot of group card draw to keep your opponent casting spells. Maybe then go group huggish/pillow fort.
Why do you suggest playing with a lot of cards that have flash, when one of the abilities of the commander literally just gives all your spells flash anyway?
Because your Commander will not always be out on the field. If you are playing a deck heavy on the flash keyword, then there's a very good chance you are also playing other cards that combo and synergize w/ flash. Never ever, EVER, let your Commander me your linchpin. If it's taken out of the equation and you do not have an opportunity to play him, your deck, it's them(s), its synergies, its combos need to still be able to happen. If ONE brick is holding your wall up your wall and it's removed, the wall will come a tumbling down.
That's just Commander Deck Building 101.

There's been a superdrop (i.e. bundle) every even month for the past two years, so that was to be expected, though the end of year one is typically released a week earlier into late November to coincide with the anniversary of the first drops, so it's actually later than expected. As for this particular drop, it's pretty, and nice.
I just got my 30th anniversary SLs today (the bonus card is a Lotus Field -which I haven't seen listed anywhere- numbered 2023, indicating it'll probably be reprinted next year). Also, my SL commander decks are shipped and will arrive tomorrow, so if you haven't gotten the shipping notification yet, it should come really soon.
It's unfortunate about the secret lair being limited. I'd be willing to bet the speculator bot farms will hit it so hard, it will go from "coming soon" straight to "sold out" without it ever being "available" for normal folk to have a chance at it.
The question becomes, what are they going to do with all those mint condition Libraries, Voids, and Gwyns... Toss 'em in a fire? How far does their moral resolve go with regard to releasing them into the wild?
Not so sad a Swan Song as it is an homage to the old standard Cascade Swans (aka Seismic Swans) deck where it was played alongside Swans of Bryn Argoll.
Another character you missed is Gaea - Dominaria's Goddess. She interfered with both Urza and Mishra on Argoth, sending her avengers to fight for its preservation and in an attempt to remove the brothers during the final confrontation. It was essentially a three sided battle between her and the brothers.
It would also be nice to see some modernized remakes of some of the cards like the Weakstone and Mightstone as they are pivotal to Urza's ascension to a planeswalker. Also, a new Dragon Engine would be nice, perhaps using Traxos as a template. Other potential reprints/remakes of things depicted in the story would be Feldon's Cane, Hurkyl's Recall, Ivory Tower, and Su-chi (as a remake since it's reserved).
Besides cards of Gix and Ashnod, what I most want to see is a card depicting Mishra in his final form as he approached Urza immediately preceding the Sylex blast when Mishra's was walking next to a Dragon Engine and his body was connected to it via phyrexian tech. I desperately want to see that. And it would be nice for them to give a nod to the battle taking place on the last day of the year - the only day of the year that the brothers were true equals (Urza was born on the first day and Mishra the last of the same year).

It was actually in a Secret Lair (Fblthp: Completely, Utterly, Totally Lost) released as part of Secretversary Superdrop 2021.
False. This only retrieves permanents. Regrowth retrieves any card. It's not even better, let alone strictly.

Volrath the Fallen would argue otherwise.
