I think snowcovered basic lands will be reprinted, but not in booster packs. Land packs seem somewhat likely, but with Ice Age symbols. The theme decks would also be an excellent place for them. I just don't see putting snowcovered basic lands in the Coldsnap set and taking up space for other cards. Non basic snowcovered lands do seem like a possibility since having the extra type seems like flavor enhancement without much effort.
I didn't notice that one of the sentences said that he could not afford Black Lotus. I answered the poll without reading the first post since polls usually cover the same information. I just figured that no one had thought of it. If I can have another chance, I vote for Library of Alexandria. Timewalk and Ancestral Recall seems to be the popular choices, but the Library costs no mana and will quickly surpass the one time use of the other two.
I would certainly like to know how to get completely honest answers out of anyone, especially on a contriversial issue like bisexuality. The label is not so important as the fact that the sole reason for the existance of sexuality labels is to separate everyone into two groups: the "corrupted" group and the "superior" group. Even if there were somehow one or two individuals which would not qualify (which I doubt if you could get a completely honest answer), they would still be a small minority, not over 90 percent of the population. I don't really like labels, but I couldn't think of any other way to word my statement. Before I forget, Sterling Angel, I never thought of you as a "nice girl", I was, however, somewhat shocked reading the first line. All of the women I've met who identified as "nice girls" wouldn't ever openly disagree with anyone, which you seem to do regularly.
Merfolk are doubtful for flavor reasons. Its unfortunate that a quality creature type was cut from Magic though. Since the set is to be printed now, it will likely follow all of the new rules.
If four colored cards are actually printed, it could mean the possibility of a five color card sometime in the block. The only problem I have with cards with serveral colors is that even with mana fixing, it is still difficult to play more than two colors. It does offer the possibility of a cycle of excellent reanimate targets though.
Szadek would be nice if there were cheap reanimation cards around two mana still (plus entomb were not banned). I really like huge creatures, but one that doesn't even damage players and seriously aids dredge seems like a questionable card.
I really hope there will be elves in Gruul. Golgari had elves that killed things (Savara, Golgari Guildmage, Elves of the Deep Shadow) even though green is usually life giving. There have also been serveral elves which were strongly anti artifact. Why not elves that smash things?
You forgot Azorius which will probably be heavy control with mass removal and lots of counterspells.
I think Rakdos would be better suited for land destruction and Gruul will be more geared toward larger, cheap creatures with drawbacks with burn to back them. I also see Gruul having large amounts of trample and hopefully the block's biggest creature.
I really like the mechanic especially since it's information for my favorite guild. Hopefully it will be used on creatures like a 2/2 for 3 rather than something like 1/1 for 4 though. I the mana costs are right, it could be a really nice mechanic.
They seem to be ok, but it would be neat if the white one were opposite the black one like white/black knight, hand of honor/cruelty, and order of the white shield/ebon hand. Alternate pairs just seems so cool and it's apparently a good justification for black getting efficient creatures.
Having no mana cost is a really strange thing about Evermind. Since it can use its effect by splice, however, what difference does it make? It is the only literally unplayable card ever. I guess it was a joke created because players complain that a card is "unplayable."
