Yeah, that's what mine is shaping up to be. Big fan of alhammarret's archive and a big pile of eggs along with station and Second Sunrise and co. Eggs got a few presents in AR I'm excited to try out

Yeah. I think the idea is a nonbo with AN. The goal is to end up with everything if the yard if you go hard like that. The line of play is from the 4 horseman list from reddit. Unburial Rites grabs Sharuum and the combo takes place normally. This way is actually cheap since I pay 3W rather than paying for Sharuum. It just spawned after I gave up on Gearhulk combo for my own list. It's kind of my way to keep playing Sharuum in those "tabletop competetive" metas, where my friends are trying to be competitive, but their decks are in the process or trying something new. I kind of look at it like I always have my midrange creature in hand and Sharuum hidden away.

Edit: Oh, and all the sheninigans of playing a midrange game and getting out Sharuum with the purpose of comboing and having access to all those crazy red cards.

I think (or rather, speculate) there's actually some take with the give in adding an extra color on your mana base with artifacts. You pick up a lot more 2 cmc rocks, including another Talisman. In Sharuum I've been able to produce "mana of any color" from some source reliably in games, as well as fetch once or twice- so I'd imagine applying that hear means it can't bee too much a strain. Factory is going to accelerate you into some form of early mana, and dictates your fetch or other plays. Breya for me so far, in a slightly different deck, doesn't have any issue with color fixing.

That I do. I keep calling it a meta card, but I guess with our weakness to Gy hate through combo it's just auto-include. The one thing I've been doing I never thought of was a late game (so t5-t7) trying to combo through a Gy exile effect, grabbing back the piece and just trying it again. I also appreciate the fact I feel like I have a bit more comfort in letting a clone hit the yard from an early loot effect that was meant just to dig. I hated putting the piece in the yard until I needed to, and having it be a pseudo clone that costs W in that situation is what really keeps it in the deck for me. Looking back on the long, long, history I have with Sharuum I know that's been a recurring issue that extends or loses me games. This and Transmute Artifact have justified me playing without Entomb for a bit. I'm torn on it because all it really does now is feed a clone into the yard, where as something like this has some more defense and versatility.

On an unrelated but Sharuum centric note, my devotion to her took over my Breya deck. It's obviously not nearly as efficent as just running her, but the Torrential Gearhulk combo is actually easier with her in the 99 and red gives us some fun tools to work towards the standard combo. I don't mean to try and convince anyone to run it, but it's been enjoyable to win with Sharuum outside of a Sharuum deck.

I'll try slotting her in. I've been away from cards for more than a month and I think I wanna start back here. I also want to try finks- life gain is great, and a chump blocker that gains life that easily would actually cover the hole in the games I've lost- even to annoying things like Norin. Maybe he's not it but thinking about him made me realize what's really been going wrong.

PS If you ever wanna turn that blog into a website in the future....more writers means more subs Smile Smile

Gotta skip right down to Nissa, cause I was thinking about her as well. However, only because I pulled one in a random booster I was given. Her abilities are awesome but, without 6 cmc Elspeth I figured walkers were out. What about it in Seleva is good? I'm still yet to try that...

A huge issue w/ lodestone and other creatures like that at this competetive level is that you end up having to spend extra mana to include a body, which is entirely irrelevant in the meta I'd expect a deck like this to show. Artifact and creature are huge limitations. Even though that effect may be better than other options, the vulnerability and expense just don't let it make the cut. I ran Kozilek stax and even there he was close to getting removed a lot of the times. Don't mean to sound like a know-it-all, but just wanted to state really clearly why things like that just don't make the cut here. The further we move away from static effects on creatures, the better off we are.

Paradox Engine was the nail in the coffin for an artifact build. Im super tied up for another week or so, but I'll be back with a new list. I wanted another really powerful artifact to target with Trash for Treasure. I don't know if it'll be the permanent build, but there are a few 5 cmc artifacts that can blow a game out with mizz, and I'd like to find a way to reliably get them out for less than 5. A few cards printed this set would help with that too.

Yeah, if you really wanna stay reanimator Tas is best. Back when you were voting, I just said Thras just because I agree, overall it's a better card. But to change that here would def invite enough changes to make it an entirely different deck. Just given all the info/popularity here, I think it'd even be bad for the community to move even one step from how reanimator it is here. I've been showing friends the benefits of going back in threads to read and they certainly come back more informed, making it a lot easier to teach.

Yeahhhhhh they're printing pieces I like, theorized when I was figuring out combos. The new Triskellion is even a 0 cmc artifact which has a lot of upsides...My friends have experimented with 2color leaders allowed to splash a color (I've heard good stories of old Olivia + white) Gonna try suggesting that we do that again so I can run some blue, I think it needs to be done for science. I know it'll end up being one of those things you post in the variant thread page or w/e but I'll still leave it here/message you it. You've always seemed to have an appreciation for the homebrew formats

Seems awesome in opening hand too, name wizard, sac it off to change it out to what you need. Also allows the Sage to start entering with a counter a little more reliably, since we can't clone it unless it's already in, I recall there be a few loops to jump through to ensure that, I could be wrong. If so, I could see using those two to hold out against the few things I couldn't against stall decks

Upside to Transmute over that for Sharuum specifically is it can bin the new artifact. If you're adding AN odds are you going combo heavy and if youre tutoring an artifact it's always to combo and tutoring a clone will cost you at least six, and can only loop if Sharuum is already out, meaning you already crept up to six. I can see it in an engine build, but I don't see it making the cut for combo. Or at least, I'm not intrigued as slots are already fought over. Instant speed is great and maybe better for the Future Sight route I guess, but then that goes everywhere.

I made a slot for Magistrate's Scepter in my list and I think that'll keep it in for now
