He's extra tutorable which is great. I doubt you'd end up running much of them, but those who may find it powerful in their meta have access to tons of ways. I forget its name, but that transmute land is a pretty great one, specific lands arent too big here, but in I'd understand it being relevant in a build so I figured I'd mention

Yeah, my first thought was tapping down orbs. The two clause doesn't seem awful since in some cases we just need an extra rock left up to play thru the orbs, so it ends up paying off. The fact that it can be a combo piece/dork removal is awesome.

I've been playing Renegade Rallier. He's honestly awesome and moving right up my favorite creatures list. He just fits into a bunch of standard loops we have, sun titan etc. Gets plenty despite how limiting it feels not hitting that three. He's also essentially a worst case Wood Elves, which isn't that bad. I think he's also gonna be clutch for cards that come in, I'm trying to cut costs myself, I think my issue is just I need to push a turn ahead, even if it means trading in effectiveness for a bit of cost efficiency. Ghave is still one of my favorites. It's also extra exciting since I've been here since the ground up and watched your baby grow Smile

Just players who can push thru after MLD through draw. Sometimes I have no choice but to wipe despite some players having dorks/rocks. With that little mana they could come back, or at least be pacing with me. I really think it's just I'm still out of place with the archetype, it's probably positions I shouldnt get myself in.

I've been enjoying Kaya, Ghost Assassin. It's a meta choice, but the control she has after a board wipe fills in what I needed in case I had to boardwipe early. I think it's still me adjusting to the deck, but it seems worthwhile in the archetype here.

Yeah, that's actually where you wanna make the shots. Or I guess then, my advice is to figure out some meta slots or push for redundancy of whatever is most effective in your meta. For example, in my actual Sharuum deck, I just freed up some slots to add discard and spot removal over counterspells as my meta becomes a little less blue. I think your list is really solid now and could afford whatever slots you wanted. I agree on the Wheels and Notion thief idea, it really does close games and drawing the thief in a competitive meta is just gas. Someone's gonna wheel.

I advise cutting the Sharuum combo- its mana intensive for not coming hot out of the zone.

Glided Lotus, Fellwar Stone (Im always in heavy blue metas), and for now that 2 cmc that enters tapped. I don't know if Arjun is the way to go, sure you can hit a ton of spells but you could be only untapping 1-2 mana, where Mizz can still shine. Right now Im looking at cards with colored symbols and figuring out what can go.

I think you can go with Remora or Rhystic Study. I think the windows where theyre good are too small- and even then like Doom said with the Remora there are ways around them even when the draw seemed reliable. I really think they're meant for drawn out casual games. Even an early Rhystic Study cant guarantee you immediate draw. Tying up mana is great and all but I've just found that it can't the value it needs from fast paced games.

Well, for me the Deathmantle is better. I don't see too many exile effects and more so Toxic Deulge so I realized as I typed that that's meta dependent. I think in the end for whats going on here Displacer is the better piece (I kind of forgot about it as an option until mention a little while ago) but I wanted to mention the upsides of using the Mantle. Academy Ruins is the piece I forgot to mention that helps it out. I also run Expedition Map in my list so snagging it on command is easier. So even when its in the yard with the bit of extra artifact synergy I run it's easier to combo no matter where it is.

Edit: I forgot to post my eggs list before it died as I shift to this. Are you going to transition your lists here your blog/links? Would it be wise to start expanding extra lists? Given how many leaders we have in common I have no issue using them just to add diversity to your blog. More stuff is always good.

Displacer is probably better than the Nim deathmantle. I'm a fan of it for grindier games to keep out what I need through other boardwipes. The 4 isn't awful in the presence of a mana sac outlet since it'll fuel some of the mana, unlike the displacer which needs the permanents present. Food for thought.

Without her pieces around or the Gearhulk combo, I don't think Sharuum is worth it. It's a pretty functional deck but not as relentless as this one is

I personally am drawing the line at Paradox Engine and Alhammaret's Archive and a few extra rocks. It's not as effective as I had hoped, but I am bringing her back to a more competitive meta. Colorless mana is dead too often to invest in, especially since the artifacts that provide artifact density need to come from a game that's progressed and where you're holding the best case boardstate of one of the artifact producers you mentioned.

I will note now however, the Metallurgic Summonings and co. idea I wanted to try here works fantastically in a casual(ish) Yidris. Green and black adds Survival of the Fittest and Eldritech Evolution and the like, with the base of wheels, draw, and counter magic we have here. It certainly can't compete with Mizz as far as pushing competetive goes, but my lord is it fun. I even threw a Mizzix and Nath in so I can flip into something interesting.
