I've been considering running a good old 3.5 game. Anyone interested? Probably level 3 or something... I haven't fully decided.

    Quote from SnoopDoggAtog
Sorry to hear everyone having such crappy lives lately.

I learned a bit of additional bad news, our roommate who skipped out on us actually went a step further. He lied to a mutual friend of ours, who asked him point blank 1 month ago, are you going to move out.

that friend would have taken our spare room, and paid us rent for it.

Instead, the roommate told the friend he was not moving out, and the friend had to go and sign up for a separate apartment he can barely afford. Later on, he admitted to lying about it because he wanted to make sure we "paid the price" for not supporting him. And also added that he "wanted to protect" the friend from our "bad faith". Which didn't console the friend any, and pissed my husband off mightily.

The only "bad faith' agreement we had with him was when he asked us to give up our right to park our bikes in the hallway. he wanted us to put them downstairs.

    Eeeesh. What a tool!
I would take him to civil court and sue his ass. For something. Talk to a lawyer and see if you can get restitution or something.

I guess that's an American thing to do.

Tenzo: No such luck man. Sorry.

Good luck with the first day, Danica. Myself, I have to work today, tomorrow, and Saturday from afternoon to closing of the store. It's not great work, but it's a decent paycheck. And I am only working part time. It works for me right now.

Sorry to hear about your not getting the DoD job, or your mom's procedure. Total suckage. I hope she recovers swiftly and effectively, and that all of the precancerous cells are removed.

My MTGO username is just "Alacar" if anyone wants to poke me on there. I have mostly M11 cards. Cracked 2 Platinum Angels, 1 Jace Beleren and 1 Sun Titan already. Sealed deck is my favorite format, methinks.

Hey guys... I've had one hell of a week and it's only the end of Tuesday. Monday was the first day of college classes and it was busy, but I got to hang out with Daidream later. Today was.. well, another class, and then busy busy at home. We finally moved my stuff into a bedroom from the living room in this house, since I have my first room mate here moving in tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be a problem. Even then, tomorrow I have my second day of work as WELL as school classes so I know my feet are gonna be killing me. I work Wed, Thur, and Friday... whew.

Also, I gave in and got Magic Online. Their starting collection is damn impressive, actually. Since I hardly play with anyone in person these days, I figure I'll give MTGO a try.

I hope things improve for you SDA, but I am glad you're still on your feet.

Good news, though--I got a job! I'm working for Toys R Us overnight. They're remodeling to add a Babies R Us and I hope to start working soon. It's $7.25 an hour and I plan on working hard there. The benefit is that I get to hold onto my magic cards for now.. whew!

Hey guys. I haven't posted on here in a while. I've grown distant from MTGSalvation, and from MTG in general--so much so, that I am selling the rest of my Magic cards.

I am in a desperate financial situation and I need money for food, gas, rent, etc. I don't have a lot of cards left but I have a good number of money cards left. I sent my list to Tenzo (since he bought my cards earlier) but he hasn't posted a reply yet.

As for me... I need to find a job by the end of the year or I'll be forced to move back in with my parents. I'll be getting some money near the end of the month for school loans (which are rapidly depleting) but that's the situation. If anyone is willing to help, please contact me.

Hope things are going well for y'all. Glad to see good news from SDA and Sterling Angel.

    (Sorry for the slow reply)

The man was dressed in a big red jacket and jeans, wearing a big red baseball cap, carrying a large red pizza case. It definitely smelled like pizza; but just then he pulled out a weapon: a silenced mini-uzi from the case. Marek's senses heightened and he dodged just out of the way, the spray of bullets flying into the apartment. He dropped the case and growled, moving in to go after him, but Marek got to his pistol first.

He came into the doorway, looking for Marek as he was on the floor, pistol in hand.

His apartment was larger than it would normally be for a single guy his age, but Sector 9 paid well when it was still in operation, and he didn't squander his money. He ordered his pizza, and surprisingly, not even fifteen minutes later, a knock came at his door.

"Pizza delivery," a voice came from behind the door.

Life is a series of bullets, fired sometimes at random. Sometimes carefully aimed.

It's been four years since Sector 9 was "dissolved." A secret group of the most deadly and elite in their fields. Officially nonexistent, it was called upon when no one else could do the job. Its members were numerous, but they weren't the best. Simple agents turned wannabes. Some didn't even know they worked for Sector 9. Only the best made it actually into the organization, including the Alpha Team, now disbanded. Someone had underminded the organization and it was forced to abandon operations: All of its members went to the corners of the globe, taking hidden identities, hiding from each other. No one was sure who had done it, or why. But it was done. It was time to return to a normal life. Or as normal as things got for an elite member of assassins, gunmen, fighters, mercenaries, hackers, and soldiers.

(This is a re-boot of "Shell Casings", and is a private one-on-one RP between me and PurpleD. You may introduce your character, PurpleD, and we can go from there.)

So, okay, I've been out of it. Busy with life and all. So let me get this straight. The NPCs have been doing nearly all of the scouting and we've been loafing around this abandoned tavern trying to figure out what to do? I hope not.

(Sorry folks. I've been busy what with getting a new car, doing some work for friends and looking for a job)

Luna was sleeping deeply when the shout was called, but Alacar was awake, sitting near her. When the cry came, she blinked awake and groaned, sitting up quickly and grabbing for her bow. "Nonlethal strikes, huh?" She growled. "Uh-huh."

    Init:[dice=1]20+4[/dice]Alacar:[dice=1]20+2[/dice]

Action: Draw weapon & stand from prone. Alacar stands and stays close to guard.

Practically a year now. I'm gonna start looking next week. Tomorrow I spend time with Daidream, then Saturday is my nephew's 3rd birthday.

PurpleD, I'll start Shell Casings soon.. just gotta remind me. I'm usually on Yahoo and Facebook.

Feel free to read the old thread if you want, but you're welcome to play a new character. You might see Fox again; I'm still thinking of using her, perhaps.

Thanks about the car. Today I'm going to get a title and tag for it so I can finally drive it. As for work, I'm going to look wherever I can, but I've heard of a job fair being held twice a month where they sign people up for work right there.

I'd have to think it over with Shell Casings thread. I need to think of some sort of actual plot. The main sources of inspiration I have for it are Max Payne (1 and 2), Sin City, Reservoir Dogs, Taken, and film noir stuff. Over the top action combined with deep plot. Did you want to play the same kind of character, or try something new? I'd prefer it if you played a guy who actually knew how to shoot a gun, but it would be neat to try and see what I could do to train him Wink

As for the Coffeehouse, it's changed in mostly that we don't post nearly as spastically as we used to. I mean, I forgot to mention to everyone that I now own a car, a white 1994 Pontiac Grand Am. My parents bought it for me for $900 and it runs pretty good. Now I can really start looking for work.

As for Disegreth, I wouldn't mind doing a reboot. I'd still like to play Sylvia. She was a firecracker.
