Dec 9, 2009Alacar Leoricar posted a message on The Top 10 Keyword Abilities Ever - #9I'm not talking about how many there are. You're talking about 10 abilities. And if they all have A's and B's it'll be merely arbitrary as to which one is in what place. No real math involved. If you must score the top 10 so highly, use something more precise than a letter grade system.Posted in: Improbable Things

Nov 6, 2009Alacar Leoricar posted a message on Card Set and ideas.Oh, and I recommend looking into investing in Magic Set Editor 2, and learning how to use different card templates--your planeswalker is very plain and the mana symbols have a shadow which is quite unusual. But that's very minor nitpicking for a draft of an idea.Posted in: Kburts Blog

Nov 6, 2009Alacar Leoricar posted a message on Card Set and ideas.I like the simplicity of it so far, but any card that just straight up says 'you win the game' is dangerous, even on a planeswalker that weak. You can either abuse it, or it's next to useless since there are likely faster ways to win the game.Posted in: Kburts Blog

I guess that's an American thing to do.
Tenzo: No such luck man. Sorry.
Sorry to hear about your not getting the DoD job, or your mom's procedure. Total suckage. I hope she recovers swiftly and effectively, and that all of the precancerous cells are removed.
Also, I gave in and got Magic Online. Their starting collection is damn impressive, actually. Since I hardly play with anyone in person these days, I figure I'll give MTGO a try.

Oh, and 19,000 posts. For serious?
Good news, though--I got a job! I'm working for Toys R Us overnight. They're remodeling to add a Babies R Us and I hope to start working soon. It's $7.25 an hour and I plan on working hard there. The benefit is that I get to hold onto my magic cards for now.. whew!
I am in a desperate financial situation and I need money for food, gas, rent, etc. I don't have a lot of cards left but I have a good number of money cards left. I sent my list to Tenzo (since he bought my cards earlier) but he hasn't posted a reply yet.
As for me... I need to find a job by the end of the year or I'll be forced to move back in with my parents. I'll be getting some money near the end of the month for school loans (which are rapidly depleting) but that's the situation. If anyone is willing to help, please contact me.

Hope things are going well for y'all. Glad to see good news from SDA and Sterling Angel.
The man was dressed in a big red jacket and jeans, wearing a big red baseball cap, carrying a large red pizza case. It definitely smelled like pizza; but just then he pulled out a weapon: a silenced mini-uzi from the case. Marek's senses heightened and he dodged just out of the way, the spray of bullets flying into the apartment. He dropped the case and growled, moving in to go after him, but Marek got to his pistol first.
He came into the doorway, looking for Marek as he was on the floor, pistol in hand.
"Pizza delivery," a voice came from behind the door.
It's been four years since Sector 9 was "dissolved." A secret group of the most deadly and elite in their fields. Officially nonexistent, it was called upon when no one else could do the job. Its members were numerous, but they weren't the best. Simple agents turned wannabes. Some didn't even know they worked for Sector 9. Only the best made it actually into the organization, including the Alpha Team, now disbanded. Someone had underminded the organization and it was forced to abandon operations: All of its members went to the corners of the globe, taking hidden identities, hiding from each other. No one was sure who had done it, or why. But it was done. It was time to return to a normal life. Or as normal as things got for an elite member of assassins, gunmen, fighters, mercenaries, hackers, and soldiers.
(This is a re-boot of "Shell Casings", and is a private one-on-one RP between me and PurpleD. You may introduce your character, PurpleD, and we can go from there.)
Luna was sleeping deeply when the shout was called, but Alacar was awake, sitting near her. When the cry came, she blinked awake and groaned, sitting up quickly and grabbing for her bow. "Nonlethal strikes, huh?" She growled. "Uh-huh."
Action: Draw weapon & stand from prone. Alacar stands and stays close to guard.
PurpleD, I'll start Shell Casings soon.. just gotta remind me. I'm usually on Yahoo and Facebook.
Thanks about the car. Today I'm going to get a title and tag for it so I can finally drive it. As for work, I'm going to look wherever I can, but I've heard of a job fair being held twice a month where they sign people up for work right there.
As for the Coffeehouse, it's changed in mostly that we don't post nearly as spastically as we used to. I mean, I forgot to mention to everyone that I now own a car, a white 1994 Pontiac Grand Am. My parents bought it for me for $900 and it runs pretty good. Now I can really start looking for work.
As for Disegreth, I wouldn't mind doing a reboot. I'd still like to play Sylvia. She was a firecracker.
