Am I the only one that is a bit dissapointed? I was looking forward to absurd games. This is basically normal magic, if they really wanted to they could adjust the rules and all those cards could be in black border magic.
Once I respond, and it's not like I rush my opponents, it's too late to take back actions that change how I would've responded. I don't want to create opponents who find the right play after exhausting every other take-back. I've endured such already. I'm way less take-back friendly than I used to be. I've had a player ask to rewind to combat of his last turn because he forgot I had a planeswalker he could've swung at after I used its loyalty ability on my own turn. Where does it end? There's no need to answer where it ends if the answer to where it begins is never.
I indeed think this is important to keep things clear, takeback no problem, but it has to be an immediate mistake. A bit more wiggleroom for triggers, though it matters what kind, forgetting your rhystic study is bad luck, but forgetting to let people sacrifice in their upkeep because of a sheoldred trigger influences the game to much for others involved, so those we usually fix.
We often let someone take a mistake like this back, (a really obvious mistake) they will get a n00b counter though
There is just to much to keep track off, we are more strict if it already happened before in that game.
Play storm without the storm cards, people will hate you
My kynaios deck is pretty anoying for people as I keep messing with other people as they try something big, check my sig.
Borderless basic land would be very cool, and while difficult I imagine it would be possible if and only if the lands all combine to form a single picture.
I would kill for panoramic Avon lands.
I really hope for this
Would suck to get the steamflogger boss
I play a Gisa and Geralf zombie deck, but it seems to me that the scarab god is a very good upgrade even if in a zombie deck I don't use his full potential.
I'd advice against this if you don't like combo, playing this will feel like that.
I had a melek deck with a similar idea, it just ended up taking turns that were way to long..
I played in the prerelease yesterday and this is one of the better limited formats in quite some time I think. Great abilities.
Besides limited I must admit I don't really feel for this set, as flavor goes I definitely like the more original ideas then just copying an existing world.
It is definitely not normal, I know most store employees as helpful and wanting to help people to learn.
My advice is to not let this back you down, just go to the FNM, I am pretty sure you will find most players very helpful, friendly and helping you with the rules. But indeed prepare to lose as most people will al have a working deck in which they put some money.
Cool idea, but looks a bit overpowered to me, maybe if it was a sorcery, but even then you get 24 power, one of them has double strike for 8 mana. Thats not even counting the other abilities of which one is a boardwhipe.
Of course 8 mana is a lot, so that means it is definitely not good enough for a competetive meta, but in a casual meta this just looks like to much.
I feel the need to comment because in my view the answer is really simple. Competitive can be just as much fun as casual games, but everyone needs to be on the same level. If everyone plays turn 4 combo decks at the table this brings back the excitement and interactions necessary to make it a good and functional game.
The content of the game will however still be different from a casual "serra angel is the bomb" game.
Always when I look at it it seems just ok. When in play it is almost always awesome, so I'll definitely keep it. It is brutal with a solemn or burnished hart under it.
I still play extraplanar lens, though it is definitely on the chopping block. Sometimes it is great, other times it is really awkward and sets me back so much I lose any chance for the game.

Definitely never play it on turn 3.
