With all the Ixalan spoilers out, what cards do you guys plan to test? Personally, I'd want to run a number of Ranging Raptors. It chumps, it gets a land. They burn it / path it, it gets a land. It dodges vanilla Fatal Push. Maybe some other things I can't think of atm haha! Right now I'm using the RG version but the Mono-G one looks nice.
Given the Animate Dead and Leonin Relic-Warder combo wherein you:
1. Reanimate the Leonin with the aura
2. Exile the aura upon ETB
3. Aura LTB trigger sacs the Leonin
4. Leonin LTB trigger brings back the Aura
5. Aura ETB brings back Leonin
6. Rinse and Repeat
(of course, wording and timing-specific explanations are noted)
So I've read somewhere in the some sites that you can insert a sac outlet (like Carrion Feeder) somewhere in this loop and it'll still turn out the same way. I think it's around the time wherein the Aura tells you to sac the reanimated creature. But I'm not really sure.
When are the instances of priority of this separate sac outlet to be used?
A cool little update for us. Gives us something useful late game if you can have Delirium active. If not it really doesn't hurt us or change our game plan.
Is it a decent replacement for Lay of the Land or an addition to the deck?
With that Altar of the Brood, I saw a funky WR token deck with some Hordeling Outburst, Dragon Fodder, Secure the Wastes, and the removal available in those colors. Some removal come in the form of enchantments to trigger the Altar. And in the cases that the altar isn't there to wreck, there's still that token strategy.
But going blue goes for the one stated above, the more consistent Sphinx's Tutelage
I'm in the process of turning my ninjas in Japanese versions for my Vela the Night Clad deck. I just always remember what they fully do / I bring a proxy of the english in case they don't believe me -- like for Silent-Blade Oni
I cut the rattle claws for it basically. Here's the list I played tonight. I'm gonna have some growing pains with this deck. Basically round one rhino'd. Round 2 win against a homebrew dragon deck. Round 3 tie but I almost won against a jund eldrazi deck. Round 4 esper Dragons easy win. Mantis rider was impactful every game. I sided tutelage in against esper Dragons and it wrecked. jeskai noyan.dec, Built with Decked Builder http://decks.deckedbuilder.com/d/123271
Dropping the Green makes this quite different from how we're trying to build it in this thread. Well anyway, this post of yours is more for the Awaken Ascendancy Combo thread, so I think you can post this there and continue there haha~
Well, maybe the Rattleclaws weren't working out for you so I'll be trying it out to see where else the green can fit in.
Previous lists in this thread use Arashin Clerics in the side. But I've heard some say that Surge of Righteousness is good in today's standard. How do you guys choose between one or the other?
I personally like the surges since it's a spell that can trigger the Ascendancy, Noyan, and fill the graveyard for delves.
Given that, what's the full list (+sideboard) you used for this FNM?
1. Reanimate the Leonin with the aura
2. Exile the aura upon ETB
3. Aura LTB trigger sacs the Leonin
4. Leonin LTB trigger brings back the Aura
5. Aura ETB brings back Leonin
6. Rinse and Repeat
