Remember, just because the odds are strongly against something doesn't make it impossible. You could open a box full of Jaces. This might happen in less than 1 out of every thousand quadrillion quadrillion quadrillion quadrillion boxes, but it is still possible.
Seriously. It's overpriced as it is, but did they have to make it worse? In constructed, it's not worth playing. In limited, you won't be rockin fetchlands. So what's the point of this card? I guess it's OK in limited, but blue deserves a lot more than OK in limited.
Any instant-speed card draw is immensely powerful and makes control decks significantly better. Draw 3 at the end of your turn? Yes please.
Can you say more about this? Do you know how they were able to get that permission? I have taken the initiative (given this new incentive) to start up FNM at a local store. I'm feeling awkward about it because it means that my LGS that I have been loyal to for the past 2 years will be missing a few players come February.
In the long run, a stronger Magic community in your area will help both stores out more. Those stores are helped more by Magic being popular than by a few players for a few weeks. If the other store promotes their events well, then it's pretty likely that both stores will quickly be doing better off than they were before, so it's definitely a good thing that you get out there and start up more events.
The Reserved List? That's correct. As of now, they can't print it (unless they plan on changing it, but I don't want to get off-topic). So, no, it' can't be Phyrexian Negator.
as good as Dragonshields are, matte-black Ultra Pros are the best, in my opinion; black dot resistant, shuffle extremely well as long as you're gentle with them, and don't slip and slide right out of the pack.
My matte black Ultra-Pro sleeves have some of the worst dotting on the fronts, though the backs are almost entirely spotless. I still like them, though, they're great sleeves.
Some of the others (white especially, as well as anything glossy) do have some serious quality issues.
I'd guess the bit about "two Goblins at goblin, the goblin of which is 7/7" is probably "two Eldrazi at common, the larger of which is 7/7". No speculation on the mechanic from here, though I do like the concept that you have to make tokens and sacrifice them to cast the Eldrazi; that makes sense given their Monument.
I just hope they make some lands where the drawback isn't "come into play tapped". It's not particularly creative.
But it's effective. CIPT is a good drawback because it's potent (it's worth two colors of mana or one color and an effect, or a really good effect), because it's simple, and because it happens once. A turn later, the drawback is paid, and you aren't going to find yourself having to take damage, produce only colorless mana, or have some otherstupiddrawback.
The December newsletter came around with this image attached. No word on how it's going to be distributed.
As for the card itself, it seems fun, but not in the same league of awesome as the other HH cards - although you can build around it more. Combo it with Death Pits of Rath, or an effect that makes your opponent take the damage (I think there is one, but I can't remember what it's called).

It sounds like some sort of matchmaking service or game portal?

Cards are a bit beyond my time for me to speculate.
Because it hits flyers, not your creatures, not you, and it's an instant.
It's like Fireball with an extra dose of epic.

I'd like to see the top-right and bottom-left pieces first, which probably means they're last.

Are you sure about this? I figured it would be more like a jigsaw puzzle - a card that was cut up into bits and sent out.
