I don't know if it will help anyone, but teamliquid.net is a tremendous resource to help you improve at sc, both Brood War and Wings of Liberty, liquipedia.net is their wiki.
Yeah science vessels are actually really good with a mech army. Diamondbacks seemed a bit fragile for my liking, maybe just on brutal. I did use them on the train mission you get them though. They were originally in SC2 btw, just as Cobras and possibly not with the +bonus damage. They had the moving shot and all that, it's in the terran gameplay video - I'd forgotten about them until recently.
For Safe Haven, I only saved 2 colonies (I'm sure there are 4? The one in your base counts as one doesn't it? Because I only had that one + another left on the map to save), but I went with a mainly M&M force with a few vikings, around 10. I'm going to retry it on normal or hard for the last achievement some other day.
The campaign was an enjoyable challenge, the different missions were interesting, and was a nice experience. The CG cutscenes were nice, and it wasn't ever too furstrating except for the last mission (on brutal). People's points about the bland story are well justified, in my opinion - it may just be the whole retro rose tinted glasses thing, but I did find that SC1 was a bit less banal and cliched. I look forward to Heart of the Swarm nonetheless.
I'm now moving onto the multiplayer, (now that I have my Kerrigan portrait woo!) obviously the main part of the whole game, and why my friends and I had started playing SC:BW reasonably seriously two years ago. I'll see you guys online. (or maybe not, unless you play on the europe servers)#
EDIT:
I just realised, I've had this signature for like at least 2 years... I guess I've been waiting for quite a while
One small criticism I would like to make is that Sara and Sajara are quite similar names; it might reduce confusion if the names were more differentiated in my opinion.
I do think it's a bit similar to level up, except you keep the lower level abilities, which isn't a problem with level up because each level is better. That prevents you from making these just level up cards with a triggered upkeep ability, as it would be way too wordy...
I think the biggest problem is that it's like level up, but different. If these were present as well as level up, it could get confusing - do you get every ability or not? I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for most magic players but it'd be better to avoid confusion altogether.
I am definitely up for a more communal project as it's clear a lot of people have had ideas regarding 'the remaining shards'. I may put a post up after I finish my exams..
Yeah thanks for the new wordings, they make sense.
Sorry, I copied out the warrior and the golem out wrong, here are the fixed versions:
'Insomniac' Warrior1B
Creature - Human Warrior
Whenever ~ is untapped, it gets -2/-0 until end of turn.
4/1
Frost Titan6
Artifact Creature - Golem
~ comes into play tapped
At the beginning of your upkeep, if ~ was untapped at the beginning of your turn, tap all creatures target player controls. 3: Tap or untap ~. Any player may play this ability.
5/4
I'm wondering if Frost Titan can be worded like that. This also changes the functionality of the warrior slightly. I'm wondering whether some effects could be worded like:
Painhowler3BB
Creature - Zombie Beast
At the end of your opponent's turn, if ~ is untapped, each player loses 2 life. 2BB, pay 2 life: ~ gets +X/+0 until end of turn where X is the amount of life lost this turn.
3/2
Corrupted Lifewood
Land
At the beginning of your untap step, if ~ is tapped, you lose 1 life. Otherwise, you gain 1 life. T: Add B or G to your mana pool
I'm wondering if this is too powerful - maybe include a comes into play tapped clause? I'm also not sure if you can have untap step triggers, wondering if it's a possible area to design into? On that note:
'Insomniac' Warrior1B

5/4
Whimsical Djinni3RR
Creature -Djinni
At the beginning of your upkeep, draw two cards and reveal the top card of your library. Discard X cards where X is the revealed card's converted mana cost.
3/4
Not sure about the wording on this, maybe "discard cards equal to the revealed card's converted mana cost" is a better wording.
Critique on all cards welcome.
Archenemy seems to be designed as one player (The Archenemy) vs several players... so natually the archenemy cards supose to make things difficult with "free" abilities. It's kind of making the Archenemy into a vidoe game boss and quite difficult to kill.
The fun part is the players trying to beat the Archenemy.
The argument is that it'd be too easy. If it's 3v1, that's three times the counterspells, three times the creatures, and three times the removal against the Archenemy. The argument is that the advantages the Archenemy gets doesn't outweigh the fact that it's 3v1
If you find you have a lot of resources, whack down a lot more production facilities, like 2 saturated expos can support like 7 gates pumping or even more.

Astral Slide? with a cycling subtheme?
