Hey everyone. Long time no see?! Well it’s good to see House Dimir is still up and running, but then again, how could the best clan ever fail. I'm also glad to see some familiar names: PurpleD, Surging_Chaos, Xander, and Koolkoal.
I see I'm currently in the Dungeon, so I'm guessing you guys didn't catch my resignation from the clan. To be honest, I'm actually happy about it. At least I'm not "out".
Okay, let me clarify some things. The past year a lot of things happened. One: I did not have an internet connection. Two: I was busy with my final year of school, which meant I had to focus fully on my work. Three (The Worst): Our local Magic league split. For some reason, a lot of people (mostly n00bs) stopped playing all at once, and we were hosting 8-10 player tournaments, until we couldn't continue, due to a lack of active players.
As a result, I missed out on Dissension, Coldsnap, and Time Spiral.
This friday, I'm moving to the University, where I'm not sure if I can continue to be an active member, so I'm not going to ask to become a 'real' member again, but I'd like to drop in and chat in the clan as often as I can.
Now, I am trying to get back in the game, preferably :symu::symb: Control, like always, but I have some problems with the deck. My question: I need good black mass removal. In my old deck (when Kamigawa and Ravnica was type 2), I always used Hideous Laughter, but now I'm stuck. Could anyone suggest an alternative please? I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!
But until friday, at least. I'll drop in often.
EDIT: Also, a good, powerful creature to replace Yukora... pls...
I doubt any of you will remember me since I was on MTGS for only a few months, but still, just like to say hello to everyone.
I'm only going to be really active until friday or so, since I'm moving out of my parents' house to go to university.
@ Purple D and rest of House Dimir: My PC @ home has been... well, lets just say "taken away". (I writing from an internet cafe) So I wont be able to an active poster. I'm sorry, but I don't have a choice, so I have to resign from House Dimir, even though I don't want to.
If I get my PC back, I will be active again, but, ye... the chances are not very good.
I have never seen that combo?!?! Its a cool idea, but have you playtested it on something like Apprentice, or Proxy cards? But I LOVE the idea. You don't own a set of Diabolic Tutor by any chance? That would really make it shine. :wink2:
I'm waiting for Izzet to reconstruct my Heartless Hidetsugu + Overblaze deck. I tried it with Black, but I'm betting Blue will be better at stalling my opponent. Transmute will help as well.8^)
I don't know what happened in the Ice Age block, but this seems either like a coincidence, or... well its probably coincidence.
As for your deck PurpleD. Ye, Shred Memory does take Reanimator apart, but like SC said, you can have one creature in a graveyard at a time... and there's always Quash any irritations since you are playing UB.
Have you seen this card in the Guildpact spoiler? Pretty interesting... I know its Izzet, but since they're my second fav guild it doesn't bother me.

Ye! As long as they stay active, new members rock! I think we should see who IS still an active member of Dimir and dump the rest. I don't know if you guys noticed, but we're getting little response from our "loyal" members.
And about the ITT clan... How about another enemy?! Since I'm sure we all think they have the IQ's of Kird Ape<-- Pretty cool card. :tongue3:

And about the Boros alliance... I vote no. I think most of us got bored with the "great" Project OL. My loyalty is to Dimir.But loyalty can be bought... Just being a typical Dimir.
House Dimir is my fav! The whole UB thing has always been at the top of my list, since I will probably play control until the day I die. :wink2: Still, I think the Izzet and Simic will be just as fun.

One of the players at our local tourneys tried UB Reanimator. He used Glimpse the Unthinkable on himself and cards like Ideas Unbound. He didn't use Zombify, but cards like Goryo's Vengeance and Footsteps of the Goryo.
Creatures he used was, Kokusho, the Evening Star(I know its not budget), but he also used The Unspeakable to bring back his reanimation spells.
Its a cool idea, and it worked for a while, but we started putting Shred Memory in our sideboard and it took the deck apart...
