I was thinking about doing Jalira, Master Polymorphist, not able to do the legendary ones but should be able to poop out the others fairly easily. On top of that mono U beat-down.

I like the U/G Vow's. The two colors do not have very much removal so why not just make friends instead

The way i built her has many cards that do similar things.
1)Haste cards, playing her and attacking right away is key to playing her (Anger, Hammer of Purphoros, Fervor)
2)Copy spell cards, play big spell and copy it (Mirari, Reverberate, Nivix Guildmage)
3)Bounce cards, after the attack and playing a big spell if their are no other spells to play bounce her back to your hand. This will only allow you to get a small pool of cards for her to play each time, but it will also keep her casting cost down(she can get really hard to cast late game if shes been killed to many times in these colors, saying that if you have the mana let her die) (Crystal Shard, Erratic Portal, Peel from Reality)
4)Pillow fort cards, make it a pain for people to attack you, slow the game down and play it your way, your bounce cards can also help here as well(Gomazoa, Fog Bank, Serendib Sorcerer, Silent Arbiter, Crawlspace)
5)Big Spells, of course you want to make sure that your deck has options for Jeleva as well

The plan with this is to cast her and attack then bounce back to hand. repeat next turn

You could also run a Sphinx toolbox with Isperia the Inscrutable, blue has many cards for peeking at others hand (Telepathy), not only will it give you a heads up but then you can look for the right Sphinx to ready yourself

Pernicious Deed has been re-printed, making it easily to find and cheaper to buy. If you do not have one yet I would highly recommend picking one up!!

Any one have any thoughts on Coercive Portal it seems like it could be a second Jaya when you don't have her out or just more card draw for you. Seems to fit very well in the deck. Also if you have Goblin Welder out you can control it if the votes do not go your way. Only downside to this card is voting and when it blows up it takes your Artifacts with it as well.

@doc.brown: the way conspiracy packs were set up was 9 commons, three uncommons, a rare, a foil and either one conspiracy or one construct (like cogwork librarian) of a random rarity. So actually I believe it was possible to have 3 rares in one pack. I may be mistaken though.

the Draft i was in i got passed 2 rares, since this was just a low key draft i asked him why he didn't he pick any of these good rare, he told me he got a pack with 3 rares in it, so yes it is possible to get 3 rares in one pack.

  • posted a message on How long does a good game of commander last for you?
Recently had a 3 player free for all game that lasted about 3 hours. It was super fun because we were all still in till the very end. I lost about 2 turns before game ended, But the Biggest Middle Finger of the match is one Player Milled himself and killed the last guy at the same time. So a HUGE 3 hr game ended in a draw. Overall though if players are still in the game its always going to be fun, but i like 60-90 min games, granted if someone loses early I don't like them waiting too long for the next game (30-45 min wait time at the max)so i can see why shorter games are better too.

Have not read the story just throwing around ideas.

Yes Elspeth is still alive in some way or form, does that mean Xenagos is to? Could they work together to get out of the underworld with there minds still intact? Could Erebos use her (or Both) to get at Heliod? and if Elspeth lost her spark there could be ways of getting it back (a God way, a Nyx way, or Xenagos old Spark?)

Shes coming back somehow but she still needs her mind, there is so much for her to finish to just let it all be forgotten (aka her coming back with a mask thing)

  • posted a message on [[MCD]] Vedalken Orrery vs. Leyline of Anticipation in UW
I think it is more of a Meta Call, are you able to run both? I know having both on the field is redundant but if one gets blown up you have a back up Wink If only one Id say Leyline just cause my meta has artifact hate.

Maybe I'm misreading your post, but I think you're misreading Nekusar. He only makes your opponents lose life. You don't.

no i know that but as far as pissing off the table every time they draw will get a lot of looks my way i fear(just like when i first played against him)
    Quote from Vibral
I will tell you from experience when we sit down to play and my friend pulls out his Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck the game becomes Arch Enemy. Reason being is that his deck is designed to wheel the table to death and quickly. However I have never played against a well tuned Kami of the Crescent Moon deck.

Yeah that's something id like to avoid(arch enemy), granted if i make it more pillow forty that would soften the blow while their minds cave to Nekusar
    Quote from Giodante
bigbearlyke is right, Kami of the Crescent Moon is a lot better than most people give it credit for, and is really powerful in 1v1 as well. Just to throw out another option, have you considered Seizan, Perverter of Truth?

(about Seizan)although black does have some really neat card draw stuff i fear that mono black is just not as fast as mono blue or RUB

  • posted a message on Nekusar, the Mindrazer Vs. Kami of the Crescent Moon
Before Commander 2013 came out I was toying around with a mono blue Kami of the Crescent Moon deck. Then Nekusar, the Mindrazer was spoiled and didn't really know what to do, so i didn't do anything. recently i played against Nekusar, and it was running alot of stuff that i was gonna do in the Kami deck. but at the same time didnt like me loosing life every time i drew when Nekusar was out.

Basically if i were to make a deck who should i choose? seems like Kami could fly under the radar a lot better then Nekusar but the killing power of Nekusar is a lot nicer.

    thoughts?
