i was wondering if someone didnt have access to misty rainforests and wanted to use arid mesa in there place would rug twin still be playable with that mana base?
That being said its clearly pod thats the TOP DOG right now with twin being popular because it hates on pod. I mean if pod didnt exist(was banned) would the format be better? more diverse? it seems pods filling junds shoes right now pretty well in terms of being so omni present that its quite possibly warping the format. or am I wrong? I personally would like a format full of variety rather than everyone playing pod at my fnm makes for quite a stale/boring environment.
So ive been told that this is one of the best decks in the format... so wheres the relults? I dont see it top 8ing a whole lot. What decks are keeping it at bay? or is it just the pilots?
Could someone please explain to me why I should get this deck? I mean I got jund then Deathrite got banned and now its mediocre(in a highly competative environment) and now im hearing of pod being banned? Is it a high possibility seeing as tho theres alot of it top8ing in the meta and also dominating the last gp? And if it got banned when would the earliest ban be?(when is the next ban) if there is one.
Its just annoying to players willing to invest a grand or so in a deck then wizards bans an important part of it, then the prices skyrocket on the NEW top decks staples and the format becomes more and more like legacy and out of reach for people who got out of legacy because it was too expensive......im sick of it honestly.
Thank you for the response however I was kinda wondering HOW you path the guy he pumps. I guess a good scenario would be what happened to me today:
Me : UWR CONTOL
OPPONENT: ZOO
im at 3 life hes got a nacatyl and a kird ape out
he swings with both
I guess from here its understanding the turn steps that im trying to understand
for instance if I cant afford a nacatyl hit I have to path it but if i path it he pumps the other one
is there any way for me to survive? or is a good player gonna have game there cuz if so preboard zoo is a difficult matchup for uwr to contain with a consistant rampager finisher being the biggest problem haha
Im looking to threaten with combo early game while having a solid defense and then late game beating with colonade or any creature I have like uwr control does. Theres really no tempo to it
I don't know how to post the deck properly so I just copied and pasted
Edit: thanks JPoJohnson for the help with posting this deck
Basically Ive smashed uwr control with uwr tempo twin and it turned out pretty well. Im interested on some professional feedback on it. Personally I find uwr control to be just insane and I wanted that power WITH twin to have 2 solid ways to win as I find late game remands suck and I wanted better top decking.
I have a question about Ghor-Clan Rampager. If im being attacked by a wild nacatyl + kird ape and the opponent has a Ghor clan in hand and I have a path, does he get away with smashing me for a creature plus the bloodrush or is there anyway i could path the right creature? eg: he swings, I don't block he hits me for 5 and its turn ( which I don't want obviously) so im forced to path something in response but then hell buff the other guy? how the heck do I path the pumped creature against a smart opponent?
