So I have been following your guide for a while now, having a Breya deck similar to yours. I need some guidance as to how fast you play combo pieces out to win games or do you try to only combo out at the very last stage of a game.

I play in a meta with quite heavy hate to enchantments/artifacts(having more green/white decks around) as well as decent grave hate. How does Breya work out in such a meta, it is difficult to combo out thus would it not be good to play Breya in such and environment?

Is it really worse off against aggro decks? uw control do bring walls and finks which block creatures really well and they have wraths too. I could see problems against pod decks though, but might not be that bad a match up. With SB there is mindcensors and artifact hate.

Hi I'm currently playing uwr control until recently I stumbled upon uw control after a huge success during a ptq from my local shop. I'm curious as to the difference between uwr and uw control, hoping that you guys could indulge me Smile

There seem to be much mix success for the kiki variant. Based on mtg top 8, it is quite popular, together with a kiki-less version. Personally I find it hard to fully grasp this deck.

That is true, usually they remand their scapeshift back to hand. After sb they play thrun or baloths which is a headache to remove and race.

Been testing against scapeshift recently, the matchup is really bad as they out ramp and easily out counter me because of extra mana. Is there any way to win scapeshift, or am I playing wrongly? 80-20 win rate for scapeshift....

How did you find the restoration angels? How has it affected your game?

Just curious, how has the flash variant of uwr been working out for those who tried it? I have not seen much showing of the flash variant yet, is there some concerns regarding this variant compared to traditional or kiki control?

Just curious on UWR's match-up against scapeshift, seeming on the rise. I have a friend who lost real bad against scapeshift recently, like 10-1. The problem with scapeshift is that it ramps faster than us, has pretty much as much counters as us, able to combo out to kill or drop fat creatures to beat down.

What are your thoughts on Scapeshift?

Speaking from limited experience, I run her with clique and it is good against combo. Against combo going late game is not a very good idea as they might out play you. Resto is hard to remove beats decently, it provides a blocker when combo decides to beat you down

How has geistless work for you, I know geist probably cannot find an opening to swing in against pod but I'm sure for other match ups the hexproof is useful. I am running a split of geist and brimaz boarding out geist for pod MU. I still require more play testing, the idea is that brimaz provides blockers and survives anger.

Hi I would like a little help to tweak my deck to fit my current meta. My meta has 1 kikipod, 1 GR tron, 1 scapeshift, 1 affinity, 1 hate bears, 1 living end and 1 uwr midrange. The deck link did not work out right so I'll just link my deck here, advise and pointers are appreciated especially against pod.

I still find shawn mclaren's control playable though. I find his sideboard well suited for clearing the field, porphyry nodes is awesome

Hi new player here I've recently ported over from standard (Innistrad, RTR) playing UW control. Got the pieces (snaps, sphinx's etc) so why not make UWR control. Seeing that there is a midrange and control version running around, it seems midrange is pretty popular, but wanna ask what is your take on this two variants. For control build, I do find sometimes I can't finish the opponent. Midrange build I find myself not wanting to cast geist and not sure when to clique, if I am stuck I can't sphinx.

On another note, do I need cliques in a control build?
