How are the Jund players using Prized Amalgam supporting the card in terms of their manabases. I have yet to test out the card yet. The issue with adding one shock splashing blue is the chances of milling it over are decent in which case I will no longer have access to blue mana (I do not run Birds of Paradise[/card)]. Life From the Loam is also something which is only found in my SB. Is 4 Lotleth Troll and 4 Faithless Looting enough to reliably being able to avoid casting Prized Amalgam. How all-in does the dredging need to be for this card to be a worthy inclusion? I currently run very little dredge (2 Stinkweed Imp and 0 Golgari Grave-Troll) as I have a list that has more cards that can actually be cast from the hand.
I switched a Blood Crypt for a Watery Grave and added a Life from the Loam to my MB. I've only had one time where he was uncastable and stuck in my hand, but that's not bad. Alongside him, I have 4 GGT, 2 Stinkweed Imp, 1 Darkblast and a Loam as my dredge cards.
Bloodghast helps trigger amalgam. So these two are good for always keeping creatures on board. Neither of them count towards a vengevine trigger, and neither does an unearth. Keeping zombies on board allows for us to cast a gravecrawler and another creature from our hand. Gravecrawler is the only cast effect we have from our gravyard in most builds that count towards triggering vengevines
hi guys, what do you board in against BW tokens? i played at my LGS last night and lost to BW token in 3-games, a good timely reinforcement by my opponent sealed game-3, i also got problems because of a turn-1 relic. my sideboard is still under construction and i only board in 2-golgari charm during the match (i have 3-abrupt MB)
Golgari Charm and Engineered Explosives, with any extra Darkblast / enchantment hate.
Hey Creamy! Can I get a look at your current build whenever you put the Amalgams in your deck? I got a chance to watch some of your videos online. Good stuff man!
Sure thing man, I've been meaning to do this for a few days.My List
How does running 3 Anglers feel?
I definitely like it. I think 4 is too many with the amount of dredging that I have. Since I still have Grisly Salvage, I still have access to him after I start dredging on turn 2 or 3. I will say thought the annoying thing about Prized Amalgam on MODO are the triggers. They are extremely annoying. I wish they could come up with a way to optimize this.

Fyi, to my MODO friends, I bought my Amalgams from MTGOTraders. I now have them in my possession and have been playtesting successfully in the Tournament Practice Room. The release date online isn't technically for another 2 days, so get testing
does anyone have dredgevine youtube links to share? i would like to watch and learn from you guys, thanks!
I have a whole set of videos on Youtube. Link is below this post in my signature. They are not post SOI, but once the new cards get released, I'll upload more videos.

You guys are running some gutsy lists using more than eight dredgers and not running the green cards that make the components of the deck synchronize with each other.
How do you guys handle Leyline of the Void? I see Decay in sideboards, but no one seems to run straight up permanent removal. Is Beast Within detrimental against you guys? There's Maelstrom Pulse too, but that's gonna get countered by any UW deck running RIP. Maybe yard hate isn't gg's though like I've assumed?
Beast Within is not something we ever run. Most hate is damaging but not GG. Run Abrupt Decay vs white decks and Golgari Charm vs black decks. That usually lets us push through. I play more conservatively against a white deck post sideboard and don't rely as heavily on my graveyard.
Just got home from wednesday night modern and went 2-2 with the neonate list I posted on the last page. Need to play more with it to get a good feel for the deck but 7 looting effects feels spectacular so far. Maybe need to move up to 9 fetchlands though, was getting quite a few hands with neonate + dredger but no red mana
Not bad for a first go around with the deck. What I have noticed is that shuffling paper makes some draws quite awkward. I'd try shuffling different by using piles instead of strictly in hand if you are. That helped randomize the deck for me for a new game. If not, it looks like you're not playing a fourth fastland. This should increase your likelihood of pulling one without too many mulligans or bad keeps.
