How are you guys liking the new Accumulated Knowledge, Take Inventory? Worth a blue splash?
The CMC is good enough. Worst case, draw two. I wouldn't want to top deck it, so I would probably keep it at 2-of. We already have blue with Prized Amalgam, so it wouldn't hurt us. What do we take out?

I've been struggling a lot lately. I essentially had to gut my deck and rebuild it from the ground up. The past month has not been kind to me on MODO. I went 2-2 two weeks ago at WNM: not the best, but still had a ton of fun doing so Smile
What's your current list looking like?
I added back in Thoughtseize to my SB since I've been playing against a lot of combo and control decks lately. I don't run removal MB lately to try and be faster. Previous iterations have seen a few Decay MB. I've also been testing out the 2 Wayfinder / 2 Angler in the flex spot.

Any recommendations from anyone would be really appreciated right now. Most of the matchups I've been losing have been by a few life / one turn. Most wins are total blowouts. I think I need a card/change to fill in the missing gap.

How do you feel about Rotting Rats vs Lotleth Troll? I've found Troll to be immensely powerful in my list when I get him, but it's another card that does nothing in the graveyard.

    Troll Pros:
-Discard any number of cards, turn after turn. Pretty important, especially for repeated dredging.
-Grows absolutely huge. Crucial as the one way to go 'tall' alongside all our usual 'wide' cards.
-Regeneration really hurts Jundy type decks, although we already have a hugely good matchup against them.
    Cons:
    -Does nothing in graveyard
-Two mana that needs two colors (not terrible, but not great)

Rats Pros (I would guess, haven't played with them):
    -Hits opponents with the discard
-Has ability in GY and triggers Amalgams
    -Way easier cost
    Cons:
-Unearth doesn't stick around and isn't casting technically, so no Vines from GY
    -Way smaller/less important

Both would enable Gravecrawler. What do people who've played with both say?
Going below four is just crazy. End of story. It's the hardest creature to kill in our deck.

I have been playing pretty close to what appears to be the stock Jund heavy dredge list at States and the open in Columbus. The decks fantastic, but I felt like at times things got a little awkward.

The dredgers started feel like really bad cards in certain situations, and the deck was struggled at triggering Vengevine multiple turns in a row when needed.

The list i'm posting below is a direction I have been testing out. The thought is to bring back wayfinder/grisly salvage over the dredge cards as good solid value cards. I have 5 flex spots right now, being the birds and shriekmaws. Both selected mainly because I play at a Merfolk saturated LGS.

Final Thoughts: This version plays much reliably then the dredge heavy list. Not needing to get wayfinder/salvage into the yard for them to do heavy lifting is a huge advantage on turn two and three. This version does sacrifice the raw explosive power the dredge heavy list has.

Why are you playing Neonate without any dredge creatures? That's the entire point of this guy.

Most lists are four color nowadays. Stay away from blood moon Smile

List looks solid, I like the Cavern´s, as I thought about including one or two Rainbow lands anyway.
But his fetchlands seem weird to me, shouldn´t Verdant Catacombs be the best one for him, as it finds every shock and all the basics? Maybe a budget concern.
I don't think it's a budget issue. Pizzap has been playing that list for a long, long time on MODO. He had a full playset a few months back.

@creamy99 Would you mind to post your deck ? I would like to start playing Dredgevine and since I've been watching your videos lately, I think is a good point to start. I have tried to find out your deck from your videos but some of them are quite difficult to see. I would suggest you to write your deck in the description, for those people who like your playstyle Smile

PS: Sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native English speaker Frown
Hey man, I have two separate playlists on YouTube. One is before SOI, and one is after. The one Post SOI release can be found here: New Dredgevine playlist

I have a few more videos to upload, which I'll do so at some point over the next few days. I'll make a deck tech video at some point too. As far as hard to see, I record in 720p, 30 FPS. I have no trouble viewing the new videos. In the old videos, I was still getting software worked out, but everything should be good now Smile

Hmm, I'm not opposed to it. Which new cards specifically? Most of the madness stuff I saw didn't really fit as well. The prized amalgam seems like it might be good.
Yeah, I was basically considering Amalgam and maybe some Neonates to help getting things to the graveyard.

Btw, I only realized you were playing the combo too after I've already posted haha. How are you feeling about Vexing Devil on your list?
Btw, I tried Golgari Thug for a while and it felt a bit unimpressive. Even with the combo on my list I just prefered to mill more cards with Stinkweed Imp and Golgari Grave Troll.
The vexing devils are pretty awesome. It is a good early aggression tool and is a cheap mana cost to get vine on the board. He works well with golgari thug as a chump blocker to replay it. Devil is a little less viable now that I took out varolz. He used to be a great scavenge target.

I like the options having a thug provides. I actually dont run the grave troll. I tried it out and while I like his dredge numbers, I feel like stinkweed & thug are a more viable option as I can hard cast them if I need to depending on how the game is going. I'll likely never cast a grave troll and even if I did it isn't that great of a card on the battlefield.
With the new additions to the deck, you don't want Golgari Thug. It under performs in combat and only dredges 4 cards deep. We want to dredge as deep as possible, which is why GGT is seeing so much play recently.

Switch out all of the check lands for a set of Verdant Catacombs. Add in Prized Amalgam and Bloodghast, and get rid of the combo. That should make your keeps more stable and graveyard recursion more reliable.
What do you think about adding in a couple sin prodder? Too slow?
It looks decent. Either get card advantage or start bolting the opponent's face. Give it a go. Since I've never even seen it in action, I can't say anything good or bad.

Thanks for the pointers, I'll keep that in mind. I think I'm going to go up to 4 Golgari Grave-Troll and 2 Stinkweed Imp in terms of dredge cards. My experience with the actual dredge mechanic is pretty limited. As a general rule, if there are no zombies in hand or on the battlefield and we only have 1 creature to cast in hand to trigger Vengevine, is it best not to dredge? My thinking behind this is there is nothing that can be milled off the top of the deck to help trigger Vengevine. We could still mill for the new Bloodghast - Prized Amalgam interaction but that gameplan seems secondary to me.
Before, it was tough to get a chain going without a zombie in hand, which is why we needed to draw one or keep one in our hand. Now we dredge as fast as we can, play a land to trigger Bloodghast, trigger Prized Amalgam, and cast Gravecrawler at our next turn to recur everything. The same thought process applies to cracking a fetch on your opponents turn.

Dump the cards you can get back for free. I can often get these online on turn 2 which is a very fast clock against most decks. Then they waste resources killing them while I set up my graveyard for another turn or two. Then boom everything comes out and I win on the swing.

I say this because I can usually get to three lands and then I can flashback the looting. Then discard the dredge cards and continue on
