I must say that with some new additions to the sideboard from Hour of Devastation, I am quite pleased with results as of late. I added Bontu' s Last Reckoning and Driven//Despair. Both are solid cards!

I'm honestly surprised 2 is a good count. For me, cards which are dead in the yard were always either a one-of or a playset because it's so bad to dredge them away.
I want to up the count to 4. I haven't had enough time to test specifics, but I need to find something to cut.

Very true. If you can't win with a bunch of angry vegetables, a giant squid won't help you either. That's Modern 101.
On a more serious note: Have the people still running two Haunted Dead ever considering swapping one out for a Rampager? I don't know what I like more, the nice end-of-declare-attackers flying blocker from Haunted Dead or the chance of great openers with a one-of elephant. Creamy, didn't you mention you might try Greenbelt a while back?
I have two in my mainboard of Greenbelt Rampager. It's amazing and sexy; trying to find a third, but not sure as to what I can squeeze.

I really dislike Salvage effects in a dredge list and Gather the Pack is definitely not better than Grisly Salvage in my opinion. I also don't understand how this deck lacked t2 plays, since LolTroll, Reunion, or even two 1 cmc creatures are often great lines of play in my experience. Even if you don't dredge with Momhug (wich doesn't happen too terribly often with 7 dredgers total), discarding action and drawing 3 cards is still great, especially postboard. I can understand wanting to move Trolls to the sideboard, but they're too multifunctional for me to ever consider going below 4. Vengevine and Bloodghast are the kind of cards you either play a playset of or none at all. Especially Ghast, which just triggers passively without much of a setup, gets significantly worse in lower numbers. I'd rather think about cutting a Haunted Dead. Those are great as one-offs and I've considered cutting one myself.
I agree 100% here. Don't mess with the core of the deck, being about 52/60 cards. Gravecrawler, Vengevine, LolTroll, Ghast, Amalgam, Stinkweed, Looting, Reunion, 20 lands, etc. Especially if you're on Jund colors.

In place of those discard spells, you could have more recurring creatures from the yard. Greenbelt Rampager, Prized Amalgam, Satyr Wayfinder, all things that help us go to our plan.

Abrupt Decay is good if you see a lot of g/y hate. If you want removal for creatures, use Darkblast. I only have 3 discard spells in my SB for combo decks. Most other decks run removal, and if they are wasting bolt/path/helix/push on a graveyard creature, there's a very high probability I'm winning and can recur it the next turn.

You have 12 interacting spells via discard or removal. That makes this more of a midrange deck than a graveyard combo deck ish. That's how it makes for more like Jund.

The main problem I see is you're treating Dredgevine like Jund (minus red) and assuming it's going to work the same way. Look at dredge the past few months preban. They were essentially an uninteractive combo-ish deck. They kept recurring lands for Ghast/Amalgam triggers and eventually a Conflagrate. We are a little different, but G1 should be about recurring as many creatures as possible, as fast as possible. Trying to do too much spreads your deck too thin and weakens its potential. Move all interaction to the sideboard and bring in more stuff.

Grisly Salvage, Life from the Loam are good additions for your deck. Why no Prized Amalgam? It's the best card outside of Vengevine for the deck (I never hard cast him).

A 3 color deck with 20 sources doesn't need help in the land department. I particularly don't want the colorless mana. With the printing of amalgam we just don't need it.

I like greenbelt is definitely a good idea but I also really like lightning berserker in the same role. Berserker has that option to pump and he's red which has become a prominent color compared to when we used to just have looting in red. I think rampager however is a great blocking option and he dodges removal a lot better. He also allows us to use multiple colors when casting our creatures (as opposed to getting locked one color of creatures with not enough of that color of mana).
Flamewake never was more than a slot filler before we got some upgrades last year. Lightning Berserker is nice, but Greenbelt Rampager takes it to your hand and allows you to recast it the same main phase. I'm interested in having one creature to recur Vengevines with.

I agree. Colonnade is one of the most effective tools for UWR, whether you're running control, flash, Nahiri, or otherwise. I am currently on four because I love it so much in a 24 land build of Nahiri.

Hey Manfred, how do you like Haunted Dead? I like the zombie, extra 1/1, and discard outlet. I believe it's return does not count as a cast, but still, how do you fare with it?

BUG is way less consistent. Neonate = 1 drop, plus T1 dredging. Why remove him?
I find neonate to be lacking after the GGT ban, so I'm trying to replace it with Cryptbreaker, Cryptbreaker's role is for gravecrawler synergy, graveyard and card draw engine. Plus the additional Grisly Salvage for more turn-2 graveyard action.
I too am running a simple Dredgevine list. Replaced 4 GGT with 3 Golgari Thug and 1 Greenbelt Rampager. It's amazing.
woah! we can easily meet vengevine requirement with that card, nice find there and thanks for sharing!
    Welcome. Hope it helps!

That Cryptbreaker is screaming no to me. It is a one drop, but we don't need card draw or the zombie. We've got LolTroll, Gravecrawler, and Amalgam to fit the billfor zombies. We've got enough discard. Plus dredging turn one is huge!

I am the King and biggest fan of Vengevine. I made the Dredgevine primer on the Developing Competitive thread. I ran a variant of this about two years ago for a few months. It was so inconsistent, it's not even funny. I switched to Jund Dredgevine and never looked back.

The Mountain has met my expectations. It's saved me a lot of life since being more relient on red. I don't foresee the mountain coming out unless a ban happens.

Nature's Claim is in there and has been nice. I don't particularly like the lifegain, but I'm too lazy to try out other 1 CMC graveyard hate removal spells XD

The Mountain helps save some life since Reunion came out, so I rely more heavily on red lately. Nature's Claim is a way to deal with the extra GY hate that's been circulating since actual Dredge has been a thing for a few months. I needed a cheap way to do it. Since the format sped up, it's a great way. Notice I don't keep anything over 2 CMC out of the board except for Gnaw to the Bone!
