Ravnica has so far been a quiet contender in the world of Vintage deck building. Minor supporting cards have been the only choices of note popping up from time to time in deck lists. We've even seen several big flops in
Suppression Field and
Flame Fusillade. These two cards were possibly the most initially hyped cards in the set and, for a while, many players' attentions were focused on them. While the verdict might still be out on both, neither has as of yet made any real impact on the format. In addition to these cards we have seen the limited inclusion of
Darkblast,
Razia, Boros Archangel,
Dark Confidant, and finally we are starting to see some use from
Muddle the Mixture and
Life from the Loam.

Recently the Vintage world was introduced to several new sets all in one shot. Ravnica showed up with the Portal/Starter sets to make for the largest single influx of new cards into Vintage for quite some time. We all knew this was coming. For months we had all hypothesized about what new single-card inclusions would make existing decks better, and whether there would be anything to make an entirely new deck stand on its own. In this article I will be breaking down several of the majorly hyped cards/decks and seeing what is actually working and what is not.

The Magic Pro Tour will be making a stop not so far from me at the end of October. Since I am not a Pro Tour player and generally try to avoid all things that aren't T1, I plan on playing in several of the side events, both Vintage and Legacy. So what deck should I play? Basically this brings up several problems for me.
#1: I dont play Legacy, thus dont have many deck options for the Lega...
