i have discovered a local shop, that still has a smaller stock of older boosters, namely:
Avacyn Restored
Betrayers of Kamigawa
Coldsnap
Dark Ascension
Dissension
Fifth Dawn
Guildpact
Innistrad
Invasion
Judgement
Nemesis
Planeshift
Prophecy
Saviors of Kamigawa
Scourge
Time Spiral
they are at a reasonable price for such old boosters.
since i like to open a few boosters every once in a while - and since the theros block is absolutely boring to me -, i would like to ask if are there any sets in the previously mentioned boosters that apart from having a chance to get me a value card, has also chance to get actually powerful cards (format does not matter)
the store also has a lot of older core set boosters (7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th too i think), preconstructed/intro packs, but i did not want to list them here.
my another question regarding this is that are there any really good preconstructed/intro packs in magic's history that is still worth buying today?
i was thinking just today about buying multiple playsets of shocklands, so even if i will never use them , i can sell them later.
currently the average proce for them is 9 euro, which is around 12.5 usd.
are there any chance of them to increase or decrease in price as we get close to khans?
should i consider 10 usd as a breaking point for buying them?
I have a few cards in my collection, that possibly won't be used by me in the future (i play other colors) and would like to sell them, but i'm not sure when.
I know that prices are hard to predict, but i still would like to ask the peaople who have more longer history with Magic, as i started playing just recently (after the release of Theros - so i don't know how prices change)
here are the cards:
Athreos, God of Passage
Elspeth, Sun's Champion
Temple of Enlightenment
Courser of Kruphix
Ephara, God of the Polis
my main concern is Athreos and Eslpeth, mainly when can it be expected for their prices increase be so slow that i do not risk much by selling them.
just writing to confirm that KMC perfect fit works with Ultra-Pro's pro-matte.
sometimes it is hard to get the perfect sleeved inside the matte sleeve but 90% of time it works immediately, otherwise it just needs a bit of careful pushing
not too long ago i got into Magic, and along with my first pack of sleeves.
they were ultra-pro pro-matte sleeves, because that was the only matte sleeve available in the local store.
since then i bought a few more of them, but later i realized that i would like to double sleeve some of my expensive cards (i hope it is possible to double sleeve just a few cards, not all from a deck).
i have read around and found that only a few are compatible with the pro-matte sleeves, but since everyone uses other, more popular brands, it is hard to find the answer
so my question is that what perfect fit sleeve should i buy that:
-works without the need to use extreme force when inserting into the pro-matte sleeve, and doesn't bend the cards
-if i later decide to switch to a more durable, well tested sleeve, it will work with that
