So I'm in possession of a v clique from mm15 and my buddy just offered two shock lands and a snapcaster for my clique and KTK flooded strand, my question is where is the future finance of the two cards clique is nearly 9 dollars cheaper after 3 printings so it has shown it is resilient so where is snaps future and is it worth it?
If we are talking about Modern, Snapcaster is a 4-of in almost every competitive blue deck. Clique is not used as much, and even in decks that Clique is used, it is often 1-2 copies because it is legendary (you can only have 1 copy on the field).
As well as junk rares and stuff. Do you think this was a decent box? I am thinking about buying another box but with the prices dropping its hard to make they money back.
This is actually pretty good, considering that you paid below MSRP. I would say it would not have been a good deal had you paid MSRP.
Would it be better to leave Batterskull at home? With the rise of Jund and Grixis Delver, you'll be seeing Kolaghan's Command more often. That means tapping out on turn 5 for Batterskull could set you up for a 2-for-1.
So, basically noone is sure what build is the correct one, or what sideboard cards are good. Right?
Is it maybe possible to instead of posting your own deck once every three post and showing off your result, to actually discuss whether Grixis Delve / Grixis Delver / Young Grixis Delver is the better suited deck in a certain metagame? I feel like the last 10 pages are mainly about showing off your results (or your misses at a local tournament) instead of creating a clearly structured discussion about the strenghts and weaknesses of the deck.
What I would like to know is what the skeleton is of the deck, what the flexspots are, why you chose the flexspots and how they actually performed in tournament play. By evaluating that, you could say what flexspots perform better in a certain metagame. In that way, we can all improve the deck (even further).
While I too am curious which version is better, I do feel that people showing results is an important component of that discussion.
I know this has been asked, and please forgive me in advance, but I see the new Goyfs hovering around $135. I was wondering if I should wait a little while longer or bite the bullet and buy a playset. Word is I should wait. If anyone could help me out with this that would be awesome!
1. Too much filler. Lack of good commons and uncommons. Also, inclusion of Comet Storm as a mythic.
2. The packaging can damage cards.
3. Misprints and miscuts at a much higher rate than normal
4. Packs can easily be tampered
5. Packaging errors at a much higher rate than normal, box with no rares, box with all foils being Rusted Relic
I for one am so glad to have a strong deck that punishes Burn. I don't consider Soul Sisters to be too strong.
I am not going to say that Collected Company is the Pod replacement, but the Junk Company list occupies a role that Pod used to have; that is punishing fair decks. It still has problems with decks that go big, like GR Tron, which is just a horrible matchup. (By the way, if anyone has figured out how to beat GR Tron with Company, please let me know.) I've sided in an extra Harmonic Sliver, 3 Thoughtseize, and 2 Path to Exile (for Wurmcoil Engine).
I think WotC and the modern format are gonna take a pretty big hit from this fiasco. Honestly I'm to the point that I think a goyf reprint for standard is the right thing to do. Or more precisely, it would have been the right thing to do if they hadn't done two MM sets with it in. Now a standard reprint could legitimately hurt prices where as before it would have only been a temporary price blip.
It kind of strikes me that the dumbest things WotC seems to do is give the mtg community what it says it wants. They should know better than to listen to the public. Its exactly why democracy doesn't work.
Don't worry, Wizards is not going to let goyf be in the same Standard as fetchlands. And if enemy fetches get reprinted in Battle for Zendikar, then goyf won't return to Standard anytime soon.
"I'm going to ask this again, why are these packs $10 each exactly? What determined that WOTC is going to set the prices right there? Booster packs that aren't worth their own cost is nothing new. This has long been a gamble. But $10 boosters? This creates a terrible climate. This is WOTC saying to kids, teenagers, adults to who are on a fixed or tight budget, that this product is not for them, it may even be saying that this game is not for them. I do not like this trend of making the game more and more expensive, especially if there is no reason for it beyond the fact that there are people willing to pay it. The lack of financial value in these packs can be explained away by design error. But the cost? Pure, cynical, and reckless greed. That's not what this company should be putting out. WOTC, you are already filthy rich. Look the mirror and realign your goal from making as much money as possible no matter what, to making the best product possible first and foremost. "
I'm pretty sure that all these cards listed were on the top-10 most played spells in Standard list on MTGGoldfish. In fact, I think that at one point, all 10 cards on that list were black.
