You only have 35 lands. Not 38.

    15 + 20 = 35

This deck looks fun because of the possible Sire of Insanity turn 2. I've been thinking of doing something just like it. Except with Stranglehold/Maralen of the Mornsong added into the deck.

    Mono-Green Infect by Gerry Thompson

Also, PV posted a list on Channel Fireball. A couple actually.

Rot Wolf draws you a card when he dies which is pretty good. I like him. I only play 2 and no Cyst.

Also, Gerry Thompson did a video article on the deck. He plays it out against humans. I would suggest checking it out if you have a premium account on SCG.

Correct me if I am wrong, but your deck only has 97 cards (Not including the general). Where/what are the other two missing cards?

At Competitive and Professional REL tournaments, players must always shuffle their opponents’ decks. The Head Judge can require this at Regular REL tournaments as well.

The only new rule they really added that people don't know about is:

106.4a If a player passes priority (see rule 115) while there is mana in his or her mana pool, that player announces what mana is there. If any mana remains in a player’s mana pool after he or she spends mana to pay a cost, that player announces what mana is still there.

I love these vs threads however I have no idea who some of these people are (in this case both of them) so I had to wiki them... any chance we could get the wiki links in the first post (like we did with the hero VS)
Even if you don't know who they are just vote anyways. I find it strange when people don't know who comic book characters are. Just vote for DC. They are a lot better than Disney.

also after having looked it up I vote for Ultron!
    Slant DC, not Disney!

This is my most recent autograph/custom mat back in 07.

I have other mats with drawings from Daren Bader, Christopher Rush, Scott M. Fischer. Along with Jon Finkel autographs on the mat (Back from 2000) and many other pro players. Those mats are faded, because they are so old, so I try to never bring them out and just let them set in my box-o-mats. I also have a stack of signed pro player cards. Some of the cards are custom Goblin/Elephant Tokens that O. Ruel made me on his Pro Player card along with him wearing his Chopper Hat and much much more!

hmmmm, the downside of pithing needle is its hard to gain CA out of, every card i look at has to have some form of advantage built into it, pithing needle is awesome if they get 2x of a certain card down. But then i main deck 4 pulse so 2 BFT down and i'm laughing. Otherwise that card is a straight 1 for 1 .

Anyways each to there own, i was just saying don't overlook infest as it gets by mark of alsyum/dauntless escort and BFT, all of which people side in, not expecting infest so overcommit which makes me very happy.
I have been reading this thread on and off for some time. Just lurking because I don't have time to post. However, you will never kill two BFT with a Pulse. They can simple sac the one you target inresponse. Pithing Needle is a strong viable option because because it stops Ajani (Both) along with BFT and Heights. It is a very strong card to be playing in the side.

So wouldn't that be a list of people Maxim top 100 wants to do? Those are people, not things.

What do YOU want to do, though. You must have other ambitions.
If you are a typical guy and not a homo, then you don't have anything else you want to do.

I am looking for a GOOD/GREAT game to play OFFLINE on my personal computer by myself.

I am generally looking for something that will hold my interest for more than an hour, but if it held my interest for only an hour at a time that is fine too.

I would like it to be a $20 or less game. I don't want to spend much because I just want something to pass the time and keep me busy.

It would also be nice if the game took a while to play and had a good replay factor, so when I am bored I could pop in the game again and go wild, or better yet play it over again after I just beat it.

I would prefer a FPS, but RPG and Strategy are okay too. If I had to list them in order it would be FPS first, RPG second, and RTS/TBS third at the moment.

So, do YOU know of any games I can play that fit these standards?

    THANKS in advance.

I seem to remember a play discussion which sums up my reasoning for waiting to main STS perfectly... that thing Gavin talked about once, the mono-green aggro mirrors back in MIR/Kami standard and how the games generally came down to who got their busted equipment online first, thus they was decided naturalizes were needed maindeck.

My idea is pretty much the same premise. The only thing this deck really folds to is an Active Jitte, or a busted aggro draw. What better way to answer it than by maining a few copies of a card that was playable against everything?
Nobody played Naturalize main deck. If they did they were bad players. I remember that year because I watched my friend roll everybody with the Mono Green Aggro build we came up with at regionals going 2-0 every game, even in the finals.

There is no need to play STS maindeck in MRB.
Playing STS maindeck is a bad call for bad players.

The only match up this card will do anything for is:
    Tron
    Affinity

The match up where this card will do just about nothing:
    Elves
    Zoo
    Fae
    Swans
    Death Cloud

Fae: It is a worthless card. You are going to be dependent on them playing their Jitte which will be the only artifact they are going to play in the matchup because the rest will be ditched to draw 2 cards. The real problem with this match up is doing the last 5 damage to win the game. Having dead cards in your deck/hand is not something you want.

Time to start working on sideboards guys.

I was lurking Star City Games' Forums on the Mono Red Burn thread and I ran across a good argument to NOT play Ensnaring Bridge.
    Quote from B2theReeves »
I would like to go on record as stating that I think that Ensaring Bridge is an awfull idea. I understand all the versatility you get with it, but The problem is that every deck you side it in against runs incidental hate for it, and now it is pretty well known that it will be sided in during certain matchups. Elves can already search up Viridian Shaman, most Affinity decks run Ancient Grudge in side as do the Zoo decks.

The problem with the card is that it is not pro-active. Everything else in your sideboard actively gets you closer to victory, except Ensnaring Bridge. All it does is sit there and keep you're opponent further away from victory... Right up until it gets Smash to Smithereens targeting the hell out of it.
I have to agree with this statement. Before Worlds came around I was playing Bridge and NOBODY expected it. However, now it is so common that I hardly ever side it in or even think it will be as helpful as it once was. The last 10 games I have played I have probably sided it in 2 times just to see how it would do and the second I played it, it was destoryed.

What about Stingscourger for the All In Red match up?

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that some people on this site don't understand mathematical probability.

How could you compare me to someone who just makes up stuff and fails to comprehend the english language, clearly I have yet to do that. Have you even looked at the World's 4-2 or better lists? Half the death cloud lists run the raven's crime/life from the loam engine and I personally feel from testing that this makes that deck even better against Fae and Elves while sacrificing little in the zoo matchup.

The probability of having a sulphuic vortex in your opening hand is ~40% if you run it as a 4-of. If you only have 3 there is a 0.6845 probability of NOT having it in your opening hand. Each subsequent draw gives you a 94.3% chance of not drawing one (Or ~5.5% of drawing one). Without this card, the matchup is in the favour of death cloud (or at least many versions of it).

(This is directed at 3 posts above).
How can I trust your statistics when you can't even do BASIC math?

Asaf Shomer - No Raven Crime/Life From The Loam
Carlos Amaya - No Raven Crime/Life From The Loam
Fernando Dominguez Roldan - No Raven Crime/Life From The Loam
Seth Manfield - No Raven Crime/Life From The Loam
Christiam Padilla Vargas - No Raven Crime/Life From The Loam

Luiz de Michielli - Raven Crime/Life From The Loam
Olaf Krzikalla - Raven Crime/Life From The Loam

    Total: 7
    7 divided by 2 = 3.5
Total of Decks playing Raven Crime/Life From The Loam: 2
    3.5 =/= 2

You still cant really say it is an easy matchup when you only have 48-49% chance of getting sulphuric vortex in any given game by turn 3. Burn isnèt the best deck for winning if it runs out of gas and if the opposing deck is making you discard most of your hand (ravenès crime version) or able to gain 6 life by the time you drop vortex (making 2 more burn required). If you spend your 3rd turn playing the vortex and they play crime on their turn, you didnèt really gain much advantage.
What the hell are you talking about? Are you the new Haman? Also, what deck plays Raven's Crime? Terribly-Bad.dec?
