I got trolled by Troll and Toad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKeF-AZsWaU. A few other cards (mostly foil) also have damaged borders and stuff. How can you grade the card in vid as a NM card?
Good customer service can only go so far. I still remember in 2009 I ordered a playset of foil zendikar Day of Judgment (with other cards in the same order) and received 3 regular foil and 1 buy-a-box foil. They sent me a 4th copy of regular foil while I got to keep the promo DOJ. But after getting trolled a few times (this isn't the first time they do this to me), I'll have to stay away form them as well.
I guess they really deserve a negative feedback .
This isn't my first time ordering with them though. Around 2010, I ordered a lot of foil c/u/r/mr from ROE set to complete my all foil ROE cube, and most if not all of the cards were truly in NM or better. I was ordering directly from their site instead of through Ebay, although I don't think that was the factor.
I also miss the old ways of doing them too (as threads instead of front page articles). Maybe we could create a subforum for those threads so that the forum doesn't look as messy.
Stoneforge Mystic and Verdant Catacombs were also reprinted in event decks. Stoneforge Mystic was even printed in pairs. Being printed in event decks certainly has an impact on the price and amount in circulation, but as time goes the impact will become less and less relevant.
I've emailed CFB a few times regarding card condition and usually they will give you a partial refund, or if it's really expensive or something I think they may have asked me for a photo of the problem. They definitely will refund you full price if you want to return it within a certain time frame.
I had the photo and returned the cards, but nothing happened after they received the cards for four days (see post #231), so I had to escalate the dispute to Paypal, and a day after that I got my money back.
The problem is there are points entering the system but none going out. Eventually we will reach a point where no one wants to sell cards for points, because they can't get get anything they need.
I don't get this at all. I get points by entering my Haves into the system and send those away. Then I get cards in the mail that do not go into my tradeable Haves. So, I added $X worth of cards to the system to get $X worth of cards and the net gain for the whole system is $0. As new people enter the game, as new strategies emerge, and new sets come out people will always want stuff. The casual crowd has been dumping a lot of stuff on me and I've sent off a ton of cards I never thought I would see play.
New people usually bring in at least 400 points into the circulation, and a few of them might upgrade to uncommon or rare which brings in more points (the one time upgrade gift). When you trade a card, the point simply goes from one person to another. There's no "tax" or other mechanism that consumes points, so overtime, the value of point decreases.
Think of it as a country that keeps printing money into the circulation. Right now it seems like new users bringing in points out of nowhere into the circulation.
I'm new to control, mainly an aggro player, but really want to make a control list for this standard. Although control didn't get too much love in Khans, I still think we have options to answer each of the new threats/decks. I was wondering if you've considered Empty the Pits as a finisher? Does it just compete too much with Dig through Time to warrant inclusion?
It is a valid finisher; EOT make a lot of tokens then swing for the win. While cards like Bile Blight would be great against Empty the Pits, the main problem is that you need BBBB, which puts a pressure on the manabase, and then it conflicts with cards such as Murderous Cut, Treasure Cruise (in a W/B build that splashes blue for Ancestral Recall) and Dig Through Time (in a permission based build).

I guess I could, but I got the mail today and two of the more valuable cards aren't anywhere close to NM.
From my paypal dispute (requesting partial refund):

From their listing
"our shipping rates are at our exact costs with 0 profit after paying postage and all packing materials."
I am pretty sure it does not cost $5 (in USD) to ship 3 cards to Canada. Although besides leaving negative feedback I don't know what else I can do.
Monastery Mentor x3
Pile B (all shocklands are from RTR block)
Restoration Angel (promo)
Temple Garden
Breeding Pool x2 (one of them has a minor border wear at the back at the top)
Steam Vents
Hallowed Fountain
Overgrown Tomb
Watery Grave
I took B. Is Monastery Mentor going to be played in Modern?

The prices on your site are in USD though.
