"I think we can get you in contact with someone who's been in a very similar position. His name's Joshua, and he's from Indiana."

He took a mobile phone out of his pocket, pressed a few buttons, and handed it over to Buckley. There were several rings, and it seemed like no one would pick up the phone, until a middle-aged sounding American man answered.

    "...hello?"

Use memory tricks - associate facts with acronyms, pieces of music, objects, people, or whatever works for you the best. You'll be surprised how much this works.

I find the best way to learn things, though, is just to go over them and again and again. If you sit down and think "I'm going to learn this now", it just doesn't seem to sink in as much. Just read your notes so many times that you are sick of reading them, and they will sink in, trust me.

"Right. Well, we'll try and get your flash drive to you as quickly as possible so you can show us."

She nodded to her colleague, who exited the room. Martin now spoke to Josh in a low, secretive voice, even though no one else was in the room. Her tone was not accusatory, but more concerned than anything else.

"We brought you in here because we were worried about you. At first we may have thought that you were involved in the plot to destroy your school, but now we have more reason to believe that this attack was targeted...well, at you."

"We received this," she said, pulling a crumpled piece of paper out of her pocket, "from a very reliable source in New Jersey. Do you have any idea how your name came to be on it?"

On the piece of paper was a list of ten handwritten names, with a location listed for each one. In the middle of the list was written "Josh Peterson - Fort Wayne, IN", and was circled with a red pen.

My predictions: Warren Buffett for Secretary of the Treasury, Al Gore for Secretary of something environment-related, Colin Powell for Secretary of Defense or maybe Secretary of State. Perhaps Hillary Clinton for something and maybe even Bill Clinton, as well as John Edwards, possibly.

    Dear America,

Thank you so much for electing this man. Hopefully he can do his best to clean up the mess of the last eight years.

    I'm up to 2212 words.

Also, I've just found out that I have to write a 10,000 to 20,000 word novel for a school competition, by the end of November. I'd love to use the same novel, but they're completely different word counts...I guess I'll just end up writing this one and then trimming it a bit.

(I'm sure we all know this, but we should probably all post a bit more than word counts here so that we don't incur the wrath of the mods ;))
